Nightfalls actually used to be challenging. When your fire team wiped, you'd get returned to orbit and would have to retry. I remember doing my first nightfall and I was sweating like crazy. In this regard, also increase the drop of GOOD gear and get rid of legendary gauntlets, helmets etc. in the loot table. Also give us the blue flame buff after finishing one.
Make nightfalls great again!
Cheers everyone!
Edit: Holy moly! We're trending fast! Keep it going ya'll!
Edit 2: Its funny how people say that only "hardcore" players want Y1 NFs back. If i remember correctly, I am anything but one. Yes, I'm day one, yes I ONCE soloed Valus in Y1 after 2 1/2 hrs. But i only started raiding a month before RoI came out. I also only completed WotM once on normal. Imo Bungo isn't catering to enough to people that play the game for longer periods of time.
Edit 3: A lot of people don't want to return to orbit when they wipe, but much rather restart at the beginning, which is perfectly fine. And it is a lot better!

People bitched because exotics were hard too hard to come by, Bungie added 3oC. Now people bitch exotics are too easy to get. No matter what Bungie does, people are never happy. That's why this game is in such a messy state. Nerf this. Buff that. Remove this. Add that. Do this. Do that. Whine, whine, whine. When will people understand that you can't please everyone... all you're doing is breaking the game.

2 답변Year 1 nightfalls were boring cheesefests. The return to orbit was extremely frustrating at times. "Oh you just spend 45 minutes soloing arc burn lightswitch omnigul and got her to 1% health, here have this thrall tickle you once." Back to orbit.

1 답변I don't know if time has altered our memories but i don't remember the nightfall as being difficult. Sure some weeks were grindy but most of the time most enemies were dead before they could do much damage.

1 답변Yeah, I think they should make nightfall more challenging but they should not have included the part where you get kicked into orbit when you wipe. They just need to make them more challenging.

Y1 nightfalls were a nice challenge and the loot was good. A good source of exotics. The only thing I really didn't like about them was that they were campy as hell. Every week the final fight went like this. Find cheese spot and use ice breaker to slowly kill the boss. Just about every nightfall strike that I remember from Y1 had a place where you could hide and take shots at the boss. Although easier, I prefer the nightfalls of today. For example the Undying Mind strike from Y2. Not as tough as a Y1 nightfall, but it still was difficult and you couldn't just hide in a crack in the wall and fire off IceBreaker shots till the boss died.

작성자: iMoto Bro 1/15/2017 1:59:55 PMIf it's going to be "harder" it needs better rewards. I don't think most people feel like the rewards are good enough to justify increasing the difficulty, which really just means making them take longer. There's no way Bungie will make nightfalls as difficult as Raids, at least not in terms of mechanics. So the only things they can really do to make them harder is increase burn damage again; allowing us to be one-shotted while at 400 light. They could bring back the Lightswitch modifier and we could go back to getting one-hit meleed to death by Thrall when Arc Burn is on and by Psions when Void burn is on... if that's what you really want... I'd rather see some new modifiers that change the way we play rather than just ramping up the difficulty for no reason. Maybe implement a "spooky" type mechanic (like spooky trials) that forces you to move around or have your screen slowly go black. A kinetic damage modifier would also be nice, although that wouldn't be much different than Small Arms. A poison mechanic similar to the year one Skolas fight could also be fun, forcing players to pass the poison around or die.

I did always like how the old Nightfalls worked, but a big drawback was that when the servers ate shit it just ended the whole thing and you had to start over. Now if someone gets dropped they can just join whoever stayed in.

7 답변Pretty much all Year 1 strikes had "safe" spots in the boss rooms where you could safely pick away at adds. Was time consuming, but doable. Bungie pretty much removed that for Year 2 strikes and onward. I suspect that is one reason they changed Nightfalls. They would be extra annoying now.

2 답변작성자: LTCcherno 1/14/2017 2:36:09 PMStandards? You remember year one very differently than I do. All I remember is standing at the back of some area sniping away with flavor of the week snipers and praying that we didn't miss some thrall with 9X melee damage. Only to only get Ascendant Shards and curse bungie's name. Your nostalgia is horribly misplaced. Edit: The only thing I miss from year one is full power perks like hammer forged and speed reload or field scout. I shouldn't have to sacrifice magazine size if I wanna reload faster, or reload speed or stability if I want more range. That's just stupid.

5 답변So where's all the videos from the "it's too easy now" complainers showing them soloing the nightfall within the bounty time limit, WITHOUT the use of "cheese spots" and exploits? I've only seen this done by Esoterickk and each run was almost pure luck, and/or had a lucky set of modifiers that week, and the final video posted was not his first attempt at it, and he does this basically as his "job." But you know.. it's so easy casuals can do it. That's the main argument here right? I also still think it's hysterical all these people are complaining the "game sucks" and "Bungie owes us something for playing so long." How about you thank Bungie for making a game good enough at it's core you've apparently been able to keep playing for 3 years. I've spent $60 on games I play less than a week before never touching them again. The entitlement these days is out of control. *cues more "Bungie dickrider" comments in 3....2.....

Well in all honesty nightfalls used to be fun because they used to give you exotics and a good challenge, I mean they still do technically give you some challenge and meh reward but it's a little lackluster now that there's three of coins and a way to easily obtain end game loot elsewhere.

1 답변I miss the sheer bullshit of the lightswitch modifier. One slap from a thrall and you're down for the count.

3 답변Here is what I would like to see: - Bring back the Nightfall modifier, if not a permanent modifier, make it a rotational one. - Redo Nightfall rewards to lean towards gear you don't have (i.e. If im missing a ghost to be 400, missing an exotic) - When a Guardian reaches 400, rewards should remove the following from the loot table: - Ghosts, legendary armor - Remove the following as possible rewards altogether: - Sparrow Kits, Emote Packages, Motes of Light, Three of Coins, Strange Coins - Any special gear (like dawning gear) that are only found by buying packages, should be in the nightfall loot table As an added bonus, and a way to make people want to play nightfalls again, make all year 1 and 2 raid gear, raid weapons and raid exotics in the loot table and make then infusible. Also, rework their raid perks to PvE perks to make them viable choices for usable gear. If its too much work to bring the raids up to par, at least we can have different armor choices, enjoy the past a little bit, and get some of our favorite weapons back.
