That's boring and lacking in skill though. I barely played any DS3 pvp when I played it, but It's highly satisfying to outmaneuver people with the Dragonslayer Spear, especially when a lightning charge connects all the way. Granted I'm biased, because I can use the Dragonslayer Spear fairly well just poking people out of their range, but another weapon I liked to use was the Black Blade. Caught so many people with the 2H charged heavy attack, nobody expects it to track so well.

If you want something interesting than l recommend the 99 faith lightning caster or max stamina greatshield warrior.

I probably won't play the game much anymore, having gone through NG+. I'm tempted to go through NG+1 so I can I can get the level 3 rings and other items to get the collection achievements, but I honestly don't care about this series enough to do so in a timely fashion. Who disliked my post? Was it just because of the calling heavy weapons boring and lacking skill bit? If so that's a bit petty, whoever did that. If you're still having fun with the game, great. I've had my fill of it though. Didn't want to play it to start with, honestly, but whatever.

If you don't like it, then that is fair. Dark souls requires a lot of time investment and is not for everyone. I enjoy it since the difficulty can keep me challenged like other games can't. Also, I love the soundtrack and bosses.

For me it's more Dark Souls spawned an assload of shitty memes and rage inducing phrases. I have my fair share of gripes with the series, but it's always been the condescending "git gud" that's pissed me off most about this series. I've played and beaten all 3, so nobody can tell me to git gud legitimately, but it still angers me irrationally. The only boss I can repeatedly enjoy fighting in DS1 is Ornstein and Smough. Probably because I liked to Co-op for it, and duel Ornstein while other phantoms or the host distracted Smough. Everything else is kind of forgettable, but I will admit the music is pretty good most of the time. When it plays. I'll just say it now: Worst boss in the series for me was the second Smelter Demon in Brume Tower. I hate magic damage. Coincidentally, I hate mages in most video games, too. Starting to ramble at this point. I'll close this off by saying that even if I don't like the series in general, I can acknowledge how others can enjoy it. Even if it spawned some of the cringiest shit in existence.

I concur with most of your points, but there is a ton of funny stuff out there if you look (Dumbshits guide to anor Londo). However I must say that I love champion gundyr since he can vary in difficulty based on skill.

Champion Gundyr is pretty neat, definitely harder to beat when you don't parry much at all. And I don't really parry ever, so it was relatively challenging in a "Oh, that hit hard." kind of way. Facetanking is oddly fun sometimes in that game, even if it doesn't end well at low levels.

Yeah, I've gotten to the point where I use him as a way to take out some rage by standing still and parrying without reposting. Also, facetanking in PvP is fun because hosts usually panic seeing 300 damage go off as nothing while you do half their health.

I had a lot of moments like that. Usually went along the lines of guy charged at me with a heavy attack from a large weapon, did like 211 damage or something. I proceeded to do double with a far smaller weapon and he'd run away in fear. Like that Black Blade I mentioned. It was my weapon of choice for a long time because it was different and fairly powerful. Parrying people with it was amusing as well. If I'm remembering weapons right. I know one of the katanas didn't have a parry move, but I'm not sure if it was the Black Blade or not.

The mound makers katana didn't have a party, just a buff that took some health in exchange.

I think I got that one at one point. Never used it for anything though. Now I have the urge to play Dark Souls 3 just to see what kind of shenanigans I can get into with the dried finger. Weird.
