Why are destiny players so toxic?
I have been playing video games since I was a child and I have never witnessed so much hate, malice, ignorance and just flat out irritation In my entire life. This game makes people so angry and brings out the absolute worst in people. Video games are supposed to be fun and help people relax. Can someone please explain the epidemic that is destiny please? Thx.

Like some people said, the toxicity is a reflection of Bungie themselves and how they handled the game since launch. That said, Destiny is still a friendly and helpful community and is a far cry from more toxic communities such as MOBAs and CoD.

If you knew bungie from old until now you will know that they have always had a very real F'U attitude to their player base. The community that has spawned is what you see now. Rather than change with the release of destiny it has instead gotten worse. Nerfing and removing items. Locking off content that you nought and paid for etc. Etc. The only and i mean ONLY reason things have started to change is because Activision have seen just how badly such a toxic attitude to players has nuked the playerbase of the game to such a huge extent that there are now less than 1mill regular players daily across both ps4 and xbone

I agree with you. My opinion is that these forums are so toxic because it is a direct image of the devs. Now the game has improved so so much but how long did it take to fix thorn? Tlw glitch? Other issues as well. Folks got angry and grew tired and it still lingers. Hell i still teabag thorn snd last word users from time to time lol.

2 답변One thing to keep in mind is that even though this is the official Bungie forums I don't think this is a representation of the majority of the community. Like previous replies the key is to find a clan or even just a handful of other guardians that you enjoy playing with and go from there. While I use lfg on occasion to knock stuff out like nightfalls I try to rely on people from my friends list to do more extensive stuff like raids or IB/Trials. A lot of the toxic posts on here and lfg just kinda seem to be crappy people begging for attention and reactions from people, even if it's negative reactions. Try one of the100.io groups to find like minded people who don't suck the fun out of what is a pretty great community. Good luck guardian, there's more awesome people out there than the turd blossoms who try to crap on other people's experience.

1 답변I think the problem is a lot of people enjoyed playing this and over time settled on weapons that suited their play style. Suddenly the guns and super powers started to behave differently and they couldn't do what they did previously. Then certain parts of the game disappeared. They come to the forums and see a wall of threads crying about nerfs etc and realise why their game changed. So they adapt. Them the weapons change again. They read the forums and see another wall of threads crying about certain weapons and Bungie nerfed them too. They then become involved in the wall of threads crying about the nerfs. This is the problem when you try to balance pvp and pve.

2 답변Maybe if bungie had a team that had were qualified in game design we would not have a problem. No, lets nerf this, that, everything... Im sick of it, the whole community is full of scrubs. People pretending to be married or a father, stfu you silly little kids. Also, you get free guns for having a diesease or some shit. You can not raid unless you have certain -blam!-ing guns, Or certain light level, some even want a emblem... Wtf? it is a mess, worst community ever.

4 답변i dont mind the existence of the crucible (i would rather it not be there so the children to go back and infect other games) but what i DO have a problem with it the forced pvp for quests and exotics. as a PVE player, this is just horrible design. yeha bungie wants us to play as much of their game as possible, but people are going to stick with what they like. PVE mains like myself were super annoyed by step 1 of the chaperone quest. i cheesed it last year in SRL and i still slept so good at night haha. in y1 i did get the thorn but it was a struggle. i dont mind a challenge or even a dabble outside my comfort zone, but let me do it because i WANT to just hop in for some clash, NOT because i HAVE TO do it to finish a quest. keep both sides separate with nerfs and buffs. dedicated servers. but ideally, the crucible should be removed.

Empowered through anonymity, being raised differently/badly, personality. I don't know why a person's toxicity would be attributed to a specific game. If that's how they would act when frustrated/angered that's not onus to the game, even if it frustrates them more frequently than others or other things. I'm not someone who cusses outside of gaming. Doesn't matter what game it is, probably every game I've played has frustrated me to the point of swearing at one point, CoD was the worst for me which is why I gave it up and started playing Destiny.
