Please bump if you agree with what is said below. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
-------------------------------------------------
One of the biggest problems with Destiny from day 1 has been the lack of story and in game lore, and that's still the case. So why is Bungie focusing so much on all of the PvP feedback and not really doing much in PvE. Yeah, they're fixed some PvE problems, and that's great, but this game has become much too focused on PvP.
Destiny was not meant to be a mainly PvP game, and sadly that's what's happened. If we truly want Destiny 2 to be an improvement, the focus must be on PvE. The original idea of Destiny, the one that built massive hype and won over E3 when it debuted was a game full of exploring, fighting mysterious enemies of the darkness and saving humanity, not an idea of a broken sandbox full of sweaties taking money from less skilled players just to win some PvP matches to get rare gear. That's not what this game was meant to be, nor what it should be.
The potential is still there. Destiny could be a game changer, a standard of excellence that other developers would strive to achieve. It could be great. But none of it happens unless attention is taken away from PvP, not completely, but taken away and put towards a great story, mind blowing lore, and an amazing PvE experience that's worth coming back to again and again.
Side note: If PvE and PvP tuning was done separately, I believe PvE players would feel less neglected.
EDIT: Thank you for all of the support, this is amazing. I hope it's enough to get recognized by Bungie so they realize what the community really wants.

Bump. Now the game is all based on pvp. They nerfs all weapons, supers, ammo capacity, exotics... for the pvp. At the end of every match you can drop something. Thanks to god they add zavala s bounty and strikes became usefull (only the time to complete the bounty). Nightfall? This week i dropped 1 ghost and 2 class item, the drop at the end of pvp match are better.

No more recycled content please. No more micro transactions for gear. I wouldn't mind paying a subscription fee if it meant we got substantial original content on a monthly basis. I'm tired of replaying the same strikes and the same raids for the same loot.

I would agree that the pvp has held this game back. I don't understand why there's even a pvp. Not every game needs a multiplayer. There games that do fine without it. And there are games that focus on online multiplayer. This game didn't need one. It fells like it was just tacked on towards the end, so they could try and get more people to buy it. If I want to play MP, destiny wouldn't be my first choice.

4 답변In comparison to most multiplayer FPSs on the market, Destiny actually has some of the best PvE content out there. But yeah, it has much more potential and could be way better.

1 답변Let's make a list. 1. Dedicated servers 2.A good base story 3. Some more diverse weapons, including more exotic exotics. 4.a more welcoming base for solo players

Yeah dude PvP is wack. I could careless about that crap. I mean it's fun yeah, but how many years have we all been reamed by online FPS shooters like COD and BF? My favorite thing to do is pack me a few bowls and shoot into the strike playlists. I can only imagine if there was more in depth lore and more strike playlists and more exploring to be done. Because man I just love the gameplay and the bright colors and the sound effects and the soundtrack and it's all just so perfect. Especially for a stoner. Like seriously get stoned and go in patrol and just throw scatter grenades at the ground for an hour and you'll have fun lmao

Also, there is too much focus on RNG. Let us build our weapons and armor the way we want. Let us pick the scopes, the perks, etc.. And stop with the grind to get daily players. You should have daily players bc the game is fun to play, not bc people are chasing one piece of gear.

Totally agree. I honestly think once the shift to PVP started is when the rest of the game really suffered. All these nerfs and constant complaints started with people from pvp. Great guns were nerfed to absolute crap because some players saw them as too OP in pvp. -blam!- pvp.

9 답변This game has good PvE. It offers more hours of PvE than some current RPGs offer. Bungie would need to remove the pvp element. PvP never worked well in games driven by RNG. It will always be unbalanced otherwise. This won't happen since Destiny is MLG now. Expect less PvE driven game and more PvP. Destiny is the new CoD.

6 답변I've said it from the beginning, if they really wanted a quality experience, they should have never added PvP...

8 답변작성자: EagleRetna 12/24/2016 8:25:10 AMMy expectations for Destiny 2 are VERY low. I happily skipped RoI and year 3. I've been playing some super sweet video games though! I partaked in the Destiny beta, preordered it and the first two expansions and it turned out to literally be my biggest video game disappointment ever, no hyperbole. I played it a ton, until I quit for 6 months, rejoining 3 months after TTK launch, around SRL last year, hoping for the best. But after that second and final tour, I realized Bungie was what was wrong with Destiny. The crap they feed thier fans, thier mentality, thier culture. Destiny will never be that game I envisioned it would be. I happily skipped RoI. I played Doom, Ratchet and Clank, Tomb Raider, Titanfall 2, Uncharted 4 and many, many more, and, I got SUPERB PvE story experiences! And guess what, 2017 is only going to be better! Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, God of War, Uncharted Lost Legacy. Destiny is soooo yesterday. It's old news. It's played out. It played itself out. Just move on. Wake up, if you want good, story, PvE experiences, there are excellent games everywhere and all around! There are great RPGs out there that offer great loot. Get out there and conquer!

작성자: PJ__Bottoms 12/25/2016 9:42:30 AMI'd also like to not be 'forced" into pvp as well in Destiny 2. I hate it when I'm on step 4 of a quest I've been doing and it tells me to "kill X amount of players in pvp" or that nonsense, or at least don't lock content behind a skill gap like the Last Word section of the Chaperone quest. Seiously, your percentage goes down when you die? That's a huge -blam!- you to mainly/only pve players. Maybe even give a choice during certain parts of a quest like "kill 'X' amount of players in crucible OR kill 'X' amount of ultras in strikes" or something of that nature so noone is forced to do something they want no part of. Just my opinion though. Also be nice if they do need to mix it up, they have a mode that is accessible to pve players like titanfall 2 does with their bounty/attrition modes which is sort of a half and half. Even WoW has pve/pvp hybrid battlegrounds that cater to both types of player.

7 답변작성자: PhantomSpaceCop 12/25/2016 6:06:34 PM
One of the biggest problems with Destiny from day 1 has been the lack of story and in game lore
As a new player, I have to disagree with this, not for the sake of being contrary, but because coming from a semi-avid RPG background, I feel like Destiny's actually done shockingly well in the lore department in comparison to other games of its kind, namely the FPS genre, which is generally fairly light in the story department since the aim is to get you out shooting things. I have never played an FPS like Destiny. Destiny gives you a REASON to run around shooting things for hours on end, even when it comes to the Crucible. Crucible play isn't just about playing competitively against other Guardians, it's about creating some kind of name for yourself in terms of pure combat skill and individual or team-based glory. And PvE is the core place where your character creates their legend. Whether I'm playing PvE or dipping my toes into PvP, I honestly feel like Destiny is an immersive experience. Not only is the narrative detailed and full of charismatic, unique characters with strong personalities, voices and well crafted backstories, but you as the player are given tons of leeway to roleplay as much as you want to or don't want to. I can't say that I can really find anything wrong with the experience up to this point, however I totally 100% agree that Destiny 2 could take the game's worldbuilding to a whole new level, in terms of how both PvP and PvE gameplay relate. I don't want PvP to suffer, and I don't want PvE to suffer because I enjoy them both. Hopefully the developers will continue to take the game in this progressive new path for first person shooter gameplay and game narrative, because lord knows the genre needs it.
