Please bump if you agree with what is said below. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
-------------------------------------------------
One of the biggest problems with Destiny from day 1 has been the lack of story and in game lore, and that's still the case. So why is Bungie focusing so much on all of the PvP feedback and not really doing much in PvE. Yeah, they're fixed some PvE problems, and that's great, but this game has become much too focused on PvP.
Destiny was not meant to be a mainly PvP game, and sadly that's what's happened. If we truly want Destiny 2 to be an improvement, the focus must be on PvE. The original idea of Destiny, the one that built massive hype and won over E3 when it debuted was a game full of exploring, fighting mysterious enemies of the darkness and saving humanity, not an idea of a broken sandbox full of sweaties taking money from less skilled players just to win some PvP matches to get rare gear. That's not what this game was meant to be, nor what it should be.
The potential is still there. Destiny could be a game changer, a standard of excellence that other developers would strive to achieve. It could be great. But none of it happens unless attention is taken away from PvP, not completely, but taken away and put towards a great story, mind blowing lore, and an amazing PvE experience that's worth coming back to again and again.
Side note: If PvE and PvP tuning was done separately, I believe PvE players would feel less neglected.
EDIT: Thank you for all of the support, this is amazing. I hope it's enough to get recognized by Bungie so they realize what the community really wants.

1 답변Disagree. For me, destiny is a pretty unique game. Infact, i cant think of another game except maybe the borderlands series that has such quality pve content in a first person shooter. Theres no other game out there doing first person raids like bungie. They took mmorpg style raids and mashed them together with a fps. And i dont know about anybody else, but raiding in destiny has been one of the best multiplayer pve experiences ive ever had. I mean c'mon...for a first attempt at fps raiding, i think us pve players can agree that vog knocked it out of the park. Destiny has its faults sure, but for a first attempt at a new genre of game, its a solid start with great pve.

작성자: MindEntropy 12/25/2016 4:34:03 PMTo be fair they haven't done much with pvp either. I mean so many guns went op for long periods of time. So many archetypes have been useless for so long. Most new maps are awful. Private matches should've been a thing since day one. Shotties shoot blanks. Sniper zoom and handling nerfs was just dumb. Should've nerfed aim assist or body shot damage instead. Then they nerfed aim assist later after the other trash nerfs. Melees don't register often. They've done more nerfing aka taking away good content than they added. Nerfing all year 1 perks and barrel upgrades put a lot of exotics in the gutter. Does anyone remember Max stability suros regime. I mean that guns stabilty was maxed with its damage it did. Now it's useless. Hammer forged adds very little range, etc. Last time I remember a buff was year 1 pulses and my god the first day they did that the crucible was a blast. People were outgunning thorns with red death and negating the two shot with the health regeneration. I was dying to more guns. Since then all they do is nerf. If they do buff it's by .004 percent. But yes pve can get dry. So something that has replay value would be welcome.

4 답변The Year 1 raid grind was the best. Had to meet loads of different people to get to max level. And guess what we are still raiding in Year 3. If it wasn't for Year 1 then I may not even know these cool people.

Hey Raider! Merry Christmas dude. I gotta agree, but everything that could have been said has been said. I personally think the following would improve PvE: -Weapon crafting and modification (a la Fallout or Skyrim), different colors, fully interchangeable perks, parts and shaders for weapons. -Expanded Grimoire to include overlooked characters and lore (e.g. Ecthar or SIVAs evolution and corruption), in game grimoire. -More original Sparrows and Ships, instead of reskins. -A HUGE overhaul on the Iron Lords lore. Other than that I think everything else has been said

3 답변I have some ideas for Destiny 2. -GIVE THE GRIND BACK. There's nothing to grind for anymore. I never had a problem with the grind in y1. Actually that's why I stayed with destiny. -If bungie stop giving loot away it would make D2 a better game. The April update has kinda ruined destiny imo. -Making endgame relevant again. Like in y1 or 2. It's kinda embarrassing to have an endgame for no reason. There's no reason to play a raid after a few times. -Removing 3oC would make D2 a better game. Exotic are the rarest loot in the game or they should be anyway. I hope in D2 exotic quest are minimal. -RNG is Earning idgaf -If Bungie would stop trying to cater to the people that left in y1, D2 would be a better already. Side note- I hope bungie understand why the player base y1 stayed with destiny and didn't go anywhere. Destiny kinda suck right now. But it's funny, in y1 I had the most fun but a lot of people hated it. But y3 is the least fun I had in Destiny and lot of people love it. This is all in my opinion 😎

Here are some things I would like to see in Destiny 2: Open worlds. I actually want to explore a world, not an area. Add in things like towns or cities. Something like Fallout. Space exploration. Do I need to say more? Everyone wants to fly their ships. Re-customization of characters. Destiny 1's biggest flaw, not letting us remake characters. Why not do something like, "For 15 silver dust, change the appearance of your character." And for a personal idea, level creations. I think a lot of games have success when something like level creation is added.

1 답변Bungie would do well by learning from Borderlands 2 and Warframe. Both are social shooters. Both are mostly PvE. Both have deep in-game lore. And both have stood the test of time. Warframe gets none of the big media hype, but has been on Steam's top 10 most played games list forever and just keeps growing. http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ People want quality PvE. That market absolutely exists.

4 답변Here are some ideas I thought of after replaying Borderlands 2 for the millionth time. More Unique weapons that are unique (IE Murmur, Devil's Dawn) More Exotic Quests with Story Context More original PvP Game Modes (Invasion from Reach for example) More choices for Raids (Release more than one raid at launch to keep us excited) More changes in Hard Mode MORE SECRET EXOTICS!!! Make and Keep Patrols Viable More consistancy with Game World Updates More vairing events. (Not Just IB) More interesting Subclass Trees. (Look at Borderlands skill trees for an example)

5 답변작성자: NecessaryEvil10 12/24/2016 9:57:39 PMDestiny 2's enemies need to have more variation and races. There needs to be a real open world. Massive planets and even moons to explore. With the removal of last gen there is no excuse to not make this game as big as can be.
