Yeah.
Christmas is a holiday of family and giving.
It doesn't have to be all focused on "God"
bye

secret edit: so this post was half b8 half genuine, because people have genuinely told me I can't give gifts to people on December 25th because I am not Christian
1 답변My opinion: screw the Happy Holidays crap. If I wish you a merry Christmas and you're not Christian I'd personally expect you to wish me a happy (insert general i dont care what religion holiday here that may be going on or soon) I mean I'd rather be wished well under their set of beliefs, feels more genuine to me

So celebrating it without God at the center is like celebrating MLK's birthday without focusing on MLK.
😎deal with it or get triggered😎
Why are people so triggered over this? Anyone can celebrate it regardless of religon or lack thereof, we, humanity as a whole have taken the religon and original purpose of many a holiday. This makes it were the holiday can be celebrated by everyone, or more socially acceptable. (Valentines day)

5 답변To edgy posters: Christmas is a Christian holiday, even if it was inspired by a pagan holiday. The whole point for it is to commemorate the birth of Christ by Christians. The gift-giving part was inspired by the pagan holiday and was adopted by Christmas. I don't have a problem with non-Christians celebrating Christmas by giving gifts because that part was inspired by a pagan holiday.

Wait hang on... people said you could give Christmas presents because you're not Christian? What? That's just a tad stupid really... and if they're gonna go that route of things then what christians (at least these kind I figure) believe about Christmas should be cancelled completely... Almost everything about Christmas was originally a part of the pagan winter solstice. The food, the giving gifts, the greenery in the house... (though the indoor fir tree tradition started in Germany regardless of being pagan or not...) The only thing that was really changed was the date and even then it was only moved back a few days...

I dont care about any religions, nor do i follow any, but i still celebrate Christmas, so i can be with my complete family (currently living with just my mom, dad and brother across the country). Its a time when we get to see eachother, especially for my parents (who dispite living away, are not divorced, we move in with them this summer). So when people tell me i can celebrate Christmas because i dont believe in God, its like saying i cant enjoy time with my family and give gifts, and frankly it bothers me.
Just thought id add my two cents
