1 답변Easily the least intelligent thing I've read all day, and I've already seen some shit.

If I establish a code of conduct for my cakes, can i refuse to give them to people i don't like? I'm pretty sure those are the grounds on which it's legal for companies like Facebook and Twitter are allowed to pull their shit.

6 답변Any merchant has the right to refuse service to anyone they wish. There is no law that says they have too. Even if the refuse claims discrimination, nothing or no one can force the merchant to provide service to that person, not even the courts. Though if they do wish to refuse service to someone. It just kinda makes them look like an ass. And people will spend their coin elsewhere.

17 답변작성자: Stickman Al 12/17/2016 7:22:54 AMNo one was forced to bake a cake for anyone. The Christian couple refused service and proceeded to quote Leviticus at the gay couple (and also told them that their disabled children were abominations), causing the couple to make a complaint. At this point the Christian couple posted the gay couple's details online, which led to the gay couple receiving death threats and generally being harassed. That's why this case was such a big deal, and no, the Christian couple never had to bake a cake and in fact made quite a large profit from the donations they received. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/lovejoyfeminism/2015/07/sweet-cakes-by-melissa-didnt-just-deny-a-lesbian-couple-service-they-also-doxxed-them-and-their-kids.html

33 답변As long as nobody is physically hurt do what you want. Deny a cake for a gay couple all you want. Just remember you're an idiot who puts meaningless beliefs in front of profit

21 답변Some ppl would eat shit for a couple of bucks. And they just refused pretty money. They should think that they are just Making a damn cake instead of judging. You know, do their job. Nobody asked their opinions on the clients. What a bunch of cretins.

42 답변
You can't force a company to uphold the first amendment
How could you possibly do that? The First Amendment is about the government punishing you, not companies.
But you can force a company to bake a cake for a gay wedding.
Correct, because discrimination is shitty.

36 답변작성자: NaughtyList n3rd 12/17/2016 2:59:00 AMCompanies should absolutely have the right to refuse service to someone simply because they're gay. If you're the kind of person who would, you're a piece of shit and you'd be doing the world a favor by walking into traffic. Nonetheless, you should have that right. ... To refuse service to gays, not to walk into traffic. But you should have that right, too.

2 답변When you join sites like Bungie or get a job you sign a contract that essentially states that you're okay with being restricted in what you're allowed to say. The CoC, for example, states that you can't be disrespectful or harass someone here. So if I started dogging you, OP, and kept being a dick to you and your supporters I would get banned for harassment/disrespect/personal attacks. I could bitch about how my First Amendment rights are being violated because I agreed to the CoC nothing would happen. The same thing (sorta, mind you that I'm not a lawyer or some shit and am hungover from celebrating my birthday yesterday/last night) applies to working for a corporation or using/visiting a corporate page.

3 답변If I was one of those bakeries forced to bake a gay cake I would just bake them a horrible cake. Make it taste awful.

I think it'll be more relevant to say force a pastor to do a gay wedding. Everyone puts the blame on the person who says they don't want to even tho there's plenty of others who would. The people asking just wanna make a controversy.

12 답변The funny thing is that as the amendment was framed and through the frame of reference of the federalist papers. All of the amendments transcend any entity. So long as you live in American and the company resides on American soil you are protected under the constitution. Sadly though Liberal and corrupt Judges have eroded this straight line interpretation and replaced it with there own version. Sadly most have no clue.
-
1 답변Jokes on you, it's not a constitutional right to be served cake, but it is a constitutional right to speak your mind! You can only be denied constitutional rights by private companies! Hah!

this is why government should stay out of private business. also, before anyone says "but what if..." followed by some extremely radical situation in which a private company does some horrendous thing, it will always come down to who is truly responsible for keeping businesses, government, and foreign affairs under control and that is:
the american people. thats right, all of our problems originate with our ignorant population ALLOWING this shit to happen.
