Attempting to obtain feedback from the community on reinstating the ability to re-forge (re-roll) weapons at the Gun Smith.
In my opinion, reforging weapons at the gun smith, for even 15 legendary marks and some materials, would not be game-breaking.
There are numerous benefits and advantages to reinstating this option, for which in my opinion, exceed the costs and disadvantages of reinstating it.
Edit #1: I appreciate all of the comments and participation.
It is obviously completely my opinion to reinstate reforging, but I believe it is at least a topic which should be discussed by the player base.
I am fairly certain the community will generally be divided on almost ever topic related to Destiny, but I think there are opportunities for consensus.
I am seeing a lot of thoughtful comments that support reinstating the ability to reforge weapons, but I have not seen a significant number of valid reasons for it not to be reinstated.
Edit #2:
I just checked my phone at work and we are trending.
I do not post often on the forums, but it is satisying to read some of the discussions taking place within the post.
I appreciate everyone's participation and comments to the poll!
Edit #3:
I just got home from work and saw we moved up closer to the top on the trending list, and there are some nice discussions taking place within the post.
The activity is bound to slow down sometime with Trials and other activities in Destiny, but we can still hold out hope for those at work, school, or away from the console to respond!
Edit #4:
We are almost to the top and still trending!
It is rewarding to read and review all of the high-quality posts and comments from members of this great community!
I sincerely appreciate everyone taking the time to participate and comment on the post!
Edit# 4:
Added this edit to highlight one of the most well-written comments (replies) within this post.
The comment is by MenkusKhan, from yesterday, December 9. It has been "bumped" several times, so it is not far from the top at this point.
The player's comment is thoughtful, well-written, and contains a number of valid reasons for the reinstatement of reforging. I can always quote it within an edit if anyone has trouble viewing it.
I sincerely appreciate MenkusKhan's time and effort he took to comment, as well as anyone else who took the time to comment, regardless of what your opinion is on this topic.
Edit #5:
So apparently someone illegally accessed my PSN account and sent an unauthorized mass message from my account with derogatory language in it.
It is disappointing and pathetic that someone would go to such effort considering this is a video game and people are just discussing a topic.
I apologize if any of you received such the message.

7 답변No. one of the main endgame points like it or not is playing for good rolls. that means more time spent playing. if they put in reforging you could see how their pretty much shooting themselves in the foot. That's only one of the few annoying issues reforging would bring. Petition and poll all you want it ain't happening.

I don't think it's a good idea. It makes everyone have the same exact gun and gives less reason to keep grinding. Although I would actually have a good matador 64 if they did have it haha. I think of they bring it back it needs to cost like 25 mots and 10,000 glimmer to make it rare

4 답변800 words about how he is trending. Like nobody -blam!-ing noticed. Talking about trending, it is the dumbest thing ever.

19 답변Anyone who played HoW knows how horrible it was. If you can't take the time to get a good roll, you simply don't deserve one. It's as simple as that. And if you think shotguns are bad now. Wait until you can reforge every matador into a range -blam!- all sniper rifle.

Hmm lots of back an forth on this topic but I would like to see use of other weapons rather then the usual. I never just rerolled my felwinters or her benevolence and said okay I'm done. I re rolled like everything dry rots primaries fusions man I think it could open the possibility of a bit more gun play with different weapons. what about a one time re roll per gun you claim?

3 답변I'm surprised so many are in favour, me however I'm dead against it. The shotgun problem would be far worse and someone will discover a perk combination that would be impossible to pass up (high calibre rounds clever dragon, final round snipers etc) also it takes the fun out of the drop, I like to see what perks I get then I decide if or not to level it up.

6 답변작성자: Gary the Cabal 12/10/2016 2:32:31 AMWhy are people voting for yes? Does nobody remember what shot-package did to the crucible? And how everyone had it because you were able to reroll weapons?
-
3 답변No way the pros like us would all have good rolls and waste all our materials re rolling stuff.

4 답변They should use the same same concept as gunsmith weapons. Turn in your legendary, get three random rolls on said weapon on arms day. That way rng still comes into play.

1 답변Reforging should coincide with xur's arrival. And reforging guns shouldn't come cheap. It should cost you some strange coins, motes, glimmer and legendary marks. So you have to put the time and effort into the game to get multiple rolls.

Personally I'm going to vote no, although I can see and appreciate the arguments for yes. My main reason is that I felt that reforging took away from the excitement of getting a legendary drop once you already had a perfectly rolled pulse rifle, hand cannon etc. What then was the use in a new drop when it had no chance of being superior to whatever you already have?
