Just did VoG
It has been far to long since I did this raid. I jumped on last night to mess around while my wife wrapped Christmas presents and noticed one of my friends in the vault with a fire team of 5. I decided I would jump in thinking they may be at atheon. Well as I spawned in I realized they were at the first phase of confluxes. Yay!!!
I didn't have my mic so I just looked to see where they needed me and went to work.
This raid is soooooooo fun. It was even more fun because it was obvious that most of these guys hadn't done this before. People that were 350+ light were wiping left and right. I had a blast running around trying to cover spots.
By the time we got to atheon I was thoroughly enjoying destiny again. Atheon was a challenge simply because most of the others had trouble with the shield. But we finally got the right mix of myself and another guy being teleported. Atheon goes down and I felt like I was ready to have another run at it.
I miss that raid.

5 답변I'm inspired to tell one of my favorite destiny stories. Two weeks before HoW and I still didn't have a fatebringer. At this point I was just joining groups at Templar three times a week. So I was on my Titan and running striker for some reason I don't remember. The group I joined was all squeakers but I didn't care I just wanted the gun. They insisted we snipe him from the ledge which I found to be incredibly boring but I did it anyway. After a second wipe I recommended we try it the normal way. They threatened to boot me just for suggesting it. Two kids go down and they all start crying wipe and jumping off the edge. The relic runner was still alive and Templar was at like 30% life. I mutter "-blam!- this" and jump down there. The kids whine and moan and say "dude you're not going to clutch this" I unload black hammer, I unload thunderlord. Relic shoots. Templar is at a sliver. I'm taking heavy fire and about to go down. Charges Templar, both of us almost dead. Fist of havoc, boom, Templar dead, fatebringer drops for me. *Player leaves fireteam

1 답변Yeah. VoG is the highlight of Destiny. Super fun. Challenging. Loot was hard to come by but was super rewarding when you got it. Brings back memories of Year 1 when Destiny was good.

I just did CE with 3 clanmates for the first time in a while. Yeah, it was buggy. I remembered why it frustrated me as well. But it was a ton of fun, the word 'empowered' didn't get used, and it all came flooding back so quickly. Just a shame that, 15 months after becoming irrelevant and a year after getting my first spindle, I finally get a Black Hammer...

138 답변Vault of Glass set a precedent for me. I hated it. Absolutely hated it. I have continued to actively avoid Raiding ever since. The only thing i dislike in this game more than Raids is PvP.

3 답변Hands down the best part of destiny. Every raid after this has felt more like a strike... So many secrets and puzzles, is truly an epic adventure :(
