Help me out. I enjoy other things, it's just that if I have nothing to do, or it's raining outside, I end up on a 2 hour session of gaming, twice a day. I need non electronic activities.
I hate books, too.
I usually end up on the games for like 4 or 5 hours a day. Even if it isn't bad, it feels bad when I go to bed.

2 답변Workout. That's my main hobby, I game constantly and it isn't productive, but I like working out more. Actually looking for a martial arts to practice as well to eat up some of my game time I'll probably game for years to come, but a bit less so. Anyway, id suggest this as it's healthy for you, helps self esteem and confidence and it will destress you. Lots of upsides. Plus, who doesn't like getting SWOLE
hurhur
1 답변First off; There is nothing inherently wrong with having gaming as a hobby. If it's a sort of guilt people are making you feel that your hobby is wrong, then I'd say not to break it. Healthier gaming habits
That being said, gaming all day can be harmful if you aren't at the very least taking a walk every day, which I would highly recommend doing somewhere in the middle of your gaming session. Additionally, gaming right before bed can keep you awake & cause sleep deprevation (I think it was called blue light or something?) and I'd recommend turning off all electronics an hour before sleeping.
Quitting gaming
Now, if you want to quit gaming altogether, then I want you to stop & think; do you enjoy gaming? Is it fun, and are you making sure to get enough sleep & excercize? Is ittoo costly? If it's fun, and you're not gaming unhealthily, and if it's not too big a financial strain I want you to ask yourself "why am I quitting?". But, if you still want to quit, then here is my recommendation; as a gamer, you're probably a nerd, so start by doing something else nerdy. Start playing card games, or something. The more you get into this other hobby, the less you game. Simple as that. ^-^
It's hard to genuinely hate all books, that's too general. Find a genre that you like e.g. horror, sci fi, sci fi horror, crime fiction, true crime, biographies, fantasy, contemporary (modern & historic), plays, classic, travel etc... There must be something in the above that grabs your attention.

Do you have any goals you want to achieve? You could focus on those instead of gaming. It's easy to be content with the life that you have even if you aren't particularly happy. The next time you think about picking up a controller run this question through your mind "what else could I be doing?" Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone. Hope this helps

작성자: Crackerjack 11/2/2016 6:04:15 PMGet yourself a notebook and make sixteen squares. Every time you play an hour of video games, you cross off a square. When you run out of squares, you stop playing video games for the rest of the week. Every week you get sixteen squares. No carry over and no cheating. As long as you follow through, you should find yourself naturally budgeting hours. Alternatively, make twelve squares and give yourself a designated "splurge day" where you can play video games as much as you want. Which works better differs from person to person. Remember, the budget is only as real as you make it, so it's really really important to not cheat. The second that you cheat, you'll find it impossible to respect your self-imposed restriction. glhf

작성자: mcelvy848 11/2/2016 12:09:12 AMWorkout. Idk where you live so it's situational with hunting, fishing/kayaking, backpacking and other outdoor hobbies. But I hear city folk have lots of stuff to do. You have to find another hobby that can take its place. A one time trip the the movies or indoor trampoline park isn't going to break an addiction.
