Hello Guardians. This is pretty straight forward. All Legendary Weapon Engrams are only decripting to Year 2 (Taken King) Vanguard and Crucible Weapons. I am getting nothing but Smolder's ,Dullivians, Ruin Wake's, Hawksaws, 1k Stares personally. This is a problem because we just had 12 months to get this content and it is still giving it to us in high amounts. I can not find anything anywhere on the internet from Bungie showing that this is working as intended. Also to probe with you guys to see what your results are, (I am not talking about packages or rewards, this is ONLY about Legendary Weapon Engrams). This seems like a HUGE over sight as this does not happen with Legendary Armor Engrams, they only decript to ROI new armor. It seems ridiculous as this has never happened before in any other expansions. (Once House of Wolves came out, all Legendary Engrams decripted to House of Wolves weapons) My thoughts about this are below: 1. This is a bug and no one has addressed this with Bungie to get clear results. 2. This was done intentionally by Bungie to essentially time gate all new weapons and only make them accessible to grind packages/Nightfall Rewards/Legendary Marks to purchase. If so, I would have to say that it is pretty effed up. 3. This was done intentionally to make older weapons accessible to newbs. 4. (But not really) New ROI weapons can be obtained from Legendary Weapon Engrams but the RNG chance was made low and almost impossible. It can not be a coincidence that so many other players are experiencing this too. My bet and money is on number 2, personally. It would not surprise me. Please. place your experiences here. I am currently hording Legendary Weapon Engrams to show this happening but I have a way to go. If you have video proof yourself, please post. Thanks EDIT: I am quite sure Blue Weapon Engrams that turn into legendary weapons are also TTK weapons as well from what I have seen. EDIT #2 Buying Legendary Weapon Engrams from any Cryptrach gives you Taken King Gear as well. No ROI weapons
