Tip for Rank up Packages! Choose wisely

Your rank with this faction has increased!
Now you have to choose one of three package options: Armor, Chroma or Weapons.
Let math do the work..
For this, I'll take away the chroma package, assuming you've collected them already..
Take a look at your weapons, add the totals of each weapon you have including your ghost and divide the total by 4. Remember the number.
Now, separately, add the totals of your armor including your artifact, and divide the total by 6. Remember the number.
If your weapons have a higher value than you armor, I recommend choosing an armor package.
If your armor has a higher value than your weapons, I recommend choosing a weapon package.
This should help get the most of your rank up packages! Good luck

At this point, I'm so far off the bell curve that I could enter every super-lotto worldwide with the same numbers, and win all of them. This is what I get for dropping one good gun in eleven months... (but damn, that godroll Imago...)

People ask me how I hit 380 so quick and this is exactly how I did it. Whatever my lowest piece of gear was determined if I picked weapons or armor. Another thing I did was hoard Skelton keys and exotic engrams. I didn't do it like some streamers and youtubers and just have a hole vault full before launch, instead I'd collect them and only turn them in when that piece of gear was one of my weakest. Same with skeleton keys, if I needed gauntlets I'd open a chest that had a chance at them. Same with weapons.

Why include the ghost and artifact? That makes no sense. Ghosts can drop from all packages and artifacts can't drop at all. The way I see it is if your 380 for example, the rewards on average drop two higher/at 382. If you have 2 weapons at 382 and 1 at 380 you only have a 33% chance to get a higher drop. If you have 2 pieces of Armor that is 382 and the others are 380 then you have a 50% chance of improvement.

5 답변Can u get high level artifacts from 320 strikes from directory. I have 365+ everything but 362 artifact. I got a skeleton key and ran 320 phogoth to open chest for chance at gauntlets, Devils dawn, and a artifact since it's my lowest item. I got 366 Devils dawn which was sweet but no artifact. Wondering if they still drop on 320 Sivas from directory

1 답변I got a 361 auto rifle from nm while everything I was wearing was 367 except my ghost it was 361. The exact same thing happend when I got a warlock bond. The bond dropped at 361 while everything I was wearing was 367 except the ghost.

I just look at my light, then look at my weapons light, then look at my armour's light. If I have more armour lower than my overall Light than I do weapons, I choose armour. Ghosts shouldn't count, can't you get one of those from any package?

I have ranked up in my factions just cuz of rep boosts and exotic gear to help as well as heavy ammo when xur comes. My gauntlets are my lowest piece of gear as its still stuck at 368 while all my other armor and weapons have been above 370. Every time I rank up I always choose the armor package and it seems that all I get is either helmets or a chest plate with of course titan marks. I have noticed as well that on strikes I don't get gauntlets either even as engrams. Update: was doing strikes to get keys for chest and got exotic engram from a boss. Thanks for the replies tho!

One tip within the tip is to equip & fill all 9 reserve spots on your character for the spots you DO NOT want to get the drop in. It doesn't work every time, but it does sometimes & that's better than blind luck/RNG. I've noticed that with the factions in particular, if you have all of their armor/weapons you can fill the slots accordingly, except for the one you want the drop in - again it does work sometimes.

Grind some strikes to get some ghosts. You'll have some blue ones dropping at a higher light. I've gotten quite a few this way consistently. You can do either 320 lvl or 350 lvl for those. The drop rates on higher light gear doesn't seem to be affected by the difference in challenge. Run through the 320 light Crisis Strikes. Make sure to get some skeleton keys for these.
