(Cryptarch rank ups excluded)
Your rank with this faction has increased!
Now you have to choose one of three package options: Armor, Chroma or Weapons.
Let math do the work..
For this, I'll take away the chroma package, assuming you've collected them already..
Take a look at your weapons, add the totals of each weapon you have including your ghost and divide the total by 4. Remember the number.
Now, separately, add the totals of your armor including your artifact, and divide the total by 6. Remember the number.
If your weapons have a higher value than you armor, I recommend choosing an armor package.
If your armor has a higher value than your weapons, I recommend choosing a weapon package.
This should help get the most of your rank up packages! Good luck
There must be a math to it all!
Let me know if this simple suggestion helped!

2 답변The only thing I want from these packages is a new ghost and I never get one. Is there a specific package with a higher drop rate of a ghost? Seriously one of those would boost me like 3 light levels.

First off you should not include the ghost and artifact as they are not guaranteed drops (actually the ghost is possible from both and I don't think an artifact is even possible). Second it's more about getting an item that is above the current light of the items you have. Assuming that you'll get something at least 1 or 2 light higher than your current light then you should pick based on whether you have more weapons or armor below the current light. Now your method is likely to work out to the same answer most of the time, but there can be situations where either having one very high light item on one side or one very low will throw off this averaging system. Also it's a lot more arithmetic than is really necessary.

34 답변Artifact and ghost. This is creating a bit of a wall for me. I tried farming CoO for artifacts but they're not dropping higher than 320. Purple ghost shells you only get from the random NF, IB, faction packages and the raid. Otherwise, it's extremely rare to get one at your current LL or higher. Any tips on improving drops for either?

2 답변To add an additional note. If you happen to be at max light overall, make sure that you drop your light to 384 before opening packages, decrypting exotics, and running forge for class items. The light level of your drops have a much higher chance of being 385, 386, or 387 if you are floating around 384 for some reason. At 385 light overall you will see a lot of 384 drops and limited drops above 385. I tested this out over the weekend on both my warlock and Hunter. The warlock was the 384 and Hunter 385. I got significantly more 385+ drops on the warlock using this method. Usually what I do is if I'm opening armor I'll drop the light level using weapon changes. If I'm opening a weapon I'll switch out my artifact or armor piece to drop to 384.

1 답변Meh. I always choose weapons as they can transfer between characters and are, altogether, more useful. I'd rather a potential "god roll" on a weapon that will last a long while than a few extra light level on a helm that will be replaced in a week.

4 답변Wait, people actually think about choosing anything other than weapons? I don't care about armor. Armor seems to drop outta everywhere. Chroma... I mean, really? I want a Devil you Don't. And after opening so many vanguard packages, I'm starting to believe they dont exist.

I wouldn't include the ghost shell or artifact since they aren't in the primary pool. I've only received one ghost shell per faction anyway. I wouldn't include the class item because it can be obtained from either. I've been sticking mostly with armor because I can transfer high light level weapons anyway.
