Archon's Forge decisions are absolutely baffling
1. Offerings come in three varieties, but I believe you can only carry one at a time.
2. They appear to be nontransferable through the app (do any third party apps have ability to transfer them?) so if you have, say, a perfected offering but you're around 345 light, better stop what you're doing so you can Go vault it and hope to completely randomly get a more level appropriate offering.
3. It's totally random if you'll find people there. I've had some success running down to the warrens and coming back up, but that still just seems sloppy - why put it so far away from the spawn? If it's supposed to be public, spawn the patrol in the area.
4. Even if you do find people, once you've used up your offerings (never seen personally more than 3 others there) you're all done unless someone at random has gotten an offering that is of doable level or some rando magically happens to come along with an offering
5. Maybe just RNG but it seems like I get better drops of I get a shot in the boss, but if you happen to be trying to kill some of the puddly adds that still spawn in, or if you're reviving someone, very real chance teammate's with axes or gally rockets will have killed the boss before the done is half open leaving you out in the cold
6. Once again, bungie made an activity that could have been casual hectic fun for when a person has 3-4 friends online but absolutely no reliable way for them to actually play it together. And for the above limitations, probably not worth jumping through hoops trying to get two fire teams of friends together. At least in the court, you knew if you did finally get grouped together you could stomp baddies for as long as your heart contented (with the abundant stacks of tunes you could carry) not for 15 minutes until everyone used up their lone offering.
Sorry about the wall of text, but almost NOTHING about the way the forge was implemented remotely makes sense. Can anyone justify any of it?
Quick edit: this was mostly an exercise in slowing my own rage, but seems to have gotten some traction. Keep reading/commenting, maybe we can get a live look-in from Deej for some explanation

The -blam!-ing AF bounties take forever. Jesus H. Christ, I spend all day in the Forge and couldn't finish the Shank bounty because no one had the right Offering, me included. It would work much quicker if the Forge wasn't empty so often and the Offering drop rate was higher. So many times there were 1-2 players just waiting for someone with an Offering. Jumping up and looking at me full of hope only to realize I'm broke too. Good that we have a week time, but having to spend that much time in the Forge if you want to complete the bounties isn't fun to me. At least I got my third fusion rifle.

3 답변CoO was a grave yard most of the time So Bungie said let's make another one that's harder to get to, less people in, carry one offering and u can't use the app to get more. And you can't bring more people in. Can't think why it's not working??

Here's what you do.....step by step. 1)Be in a fireteam of 6 or more buddies. 2)Three of you head to the forge. 3)Ask a blueberry to add one of your missing buddies and invite him. 4)Another buddy joins that group. 5)Ask another blueberry to invite the last guy missing. Voila!!!!! 6 man patrol reward unlocked 😉

I agree with most of what you are saying. When I needed to complete the quest I kept popping in and no one was there. I find more people there in the evening time (PST for me), like last night when there were about 8 of us in the forge. Everyone just kept using their offerings, and then everyone disappeared. It definitely needs a little tweaking.

1 답변55 Archons Forge completions with multiple Perfected, Enhanced & Fused offerings, over 10 of them were my own but have yet to receive a single weapon or armour reward? Just boring BS class items, yawn. But yes Bungie, AF is an endgame activity..

There where at least 8 people and it was non stop. We got lucky that someone always found a drop... That was the first time I actually had fun doing the forge. It's a hit or a miss.

6 답변Getting offerings is the first unreasonable hurdle for me - I've killed 1272 enemies in the Plaguelands and have only received a single offering. So then, I found a fire team and as OP said, we were done w/in 10 minutes w/out any further offerings dropped for anyone. We went to orbit, went back to Forge and found a group of 4 starting a round, couple randos joined and there were at least 8 of us and apparently not a single offering for anyone after that round as folks didn't stick around for very long after. For a casual player like me, this is a huge disappointment and I feel it's holding me back from normal progression.

I spent over an hour there today and only got one thing that was good, which was saladin's vigil, a fusion rifle. There was 4 or 5 other people and they were getting legendary drops left and right. It was frustrating but fun at the same time, which is destiny in a nutshell anyways.

10 답변In regards to No. 3: If you're finding the forge empty often, you're likely running into it too fast. The forge is on a different server instance from the patrol. When you head to the forge the game is actively looking for an instance with others to put you in with. If you're running full speed or on a sparrow you're not giving the game time to find others so it puts you in by yourself. So, walk into the forge, find people, profit by the graces of RNGesus.

I did the "walk real slow" thing, and YAY an event! I get there in time to see the last enemies die. No drops. "Well, cool. I'll put my offering in." I don't get a chance to put a single bullet into the boss. He was destroyed before I even saw him. No drops. No one has offerings, everyone leaves. fml. I did the "walk real slow" thing 3 more times, no events. I farm patrol for about 20 minutes, no offerings drop. fml. Log out, try another day.

Right now there are 4 people in the archon forge hoping someone will show up with an offering. I still have 1 bounty due that I won't seem to ever get because it hasn't spawned that particular one and 90% of the time we get 2-4 matches ( when I can find one ) and then we run out. The best part of ROI is being blocked by bad design.
