Let's Deal with Hunters...
I'm trying out some more forum posts, whilst still being helpful. Tell me what you think!
Entry 1.
Hunters
First and foremost know this, when you are fighting a Hunter, you are not fighting a normal guardian; you're fighting a cracked out spider-monkey that resembles a guardian. These guys will come at you like some half Batman/Xenomorph monster; the important thing is to remember to look up when fighting in close range.

Bladedancer

Bladedancers-what are?
The first and most prevalent Hunter class, is the Bladedancer, the Warlock of the Hunter class. These teleporting monkeys can one shot you with their duck tape wrapped 'nades, and will gut you with their toddler sized mega knives. Then they'll disappear in the distance as you quickly loose their image through your salt filled tears.

How to counter?
The best way to deal with the Energizer Bunny of death is with any ranged Super or heavy. And, if you are so lucky, you may see a Sunbreaker challenge these roaming monsters with their own super. These events are the closest your mortal eyes will ever be to seeing god's fight; as Thor answers the call of Ragnorak and effectively decides the match.

Gunslingers-
What are?
Gunslingers are the edgy try hards that weren't edgy enough, or try hard enough for CoD. These guys can 360 no scope you from orbit with their flaming knives of pain. This class is like the watered down trapper version of Batman that we all know is played by people that take this game, maybe a smudge too seriously. They possess the only cross map OHK, (that's One Hit Kill, for those of you who don't get acronyms) as well as three shots to thoroughly destroy anything your team has going for it.

Here are three simple steps to surviving a Golden Gun
Step 1. Find/be a Defender
Step 2. Get a bubble up, like now-ish
Step 3. This is your new home. The bubble, and all the purple light touches is your kingdom; but the dark place beyond? That's the Gunslinger's LoS, we don't dare go there.

Nightstalker
Ahh, this class does to Hunters what Nickelback did to your mother's music collection. These guys enter the crucible with the cheapest of combo kills, as well as what's basically a golden gun that also EATS THE SOULS OF YOUR TEAM. That's right, Hawkeye here comes with arrows that do an AoE slow, and cancels the abilities of the poor saps inside tether range.

So, how do you stop a Nightstalker you ask?
Well the answer dear children is simple!
SOUL CRUSHING PARANOIA! As long as you never trust any Hunter you see, you can easily avoid most of their BS tricks! Sure the rest of your Fire team may call you a coward, but what do they know? They're dead! And sure cowards may die a thousand deaths, but in Destiny does that really matter?

I'm not sure how to feel.. About.... This. Its a masterpiece about the beautiful guardians known as hunters. These sleek, lethal toys destroy the battlefield the beauty. Warlocks and Titans destroy the battlefield with violence and curiosity. But the Hunter... They sit and wait, cloaked in a corner with their Omolon crackers and Husk Flakes. Waiting for the fool that dares challenge them with their pitiful supers. And then... Bam. A dead man with an arrow in their chest, or even an incinerated body from a flaming gun or serrated knife.

2 답변OK, first off: funny post. I enjoyed. But it does stem from a general community feeling regarding Hunters that I don't understand. I main a Hunter, and prefer the Gunslinger class in Crucible. IMO, Hunters are probably the weakest overall class. Even the throwing knives don't have the range of the Warlock melee. And while Golden Gun is nice, its felt a bit minor league since Sun Breaker showed up, which is basically the same thing except with way more shots, tracking on the shots and extra armor while they're throwing all those tracking hammers around. But apparently Gunslinger is OP, since they nerfed Achlyophage so that, even though we get an extra shot, we now have less time to get those shots off before it expires. Then they decided that the trip mine grenade shouldn't be OHK, even when you stick someone with it. Never mind the fact that the other classes still get a OHK sticky grenade, its just the Hunter's that is OP. Looking forward to seeing what else about the Hunter gets nerfed in Year Three.

5 답변I main a Hunter but I'm the one all you guys WANT to face in Crucible. Because I am completely, utterly, hilariously ineffective with my "toddler sized blades" or my "Hawkeye bow" and throwing knives? It's a miracle I don't stick them in my own legs all the time. So I'll keep providing my services, letting you guys all take out your frustrations on the one Hunter that couldn't kill a Dreg with all 4 arms and one of his legs docked. The Hunter that will use his GG to make nice, smoking dots on either side of your head and then down between your legs like a circus trick. The Hunter that will blade dance himself right off the edge of the map chasing you, or forget how high he jumps to tether and stick a pretty purple ball right at the top of a doorway (it's like mistletoe, but instead of kissing beneath it you can fill me with bullets instead). You're welcome, guardians. Glad to be of service.

Bruh. So, like, whenever I run Gunslinger in Crucible matches I've got my throwing knives, right? So what I do is I use the melee button to throw them and if something or someone is standing in front of me then my knife kills it. Like, bruuuuuh. I don't even know what's going on.

7 답변I agree. Hunters are still so cancerous even though I play one. It's a shame that classes and their intended roles shine more in hunters than any other. Hunters have that quick nimble mobility, shade step evade, improved senses radar buff. Hunted ability. Grenades for a melee charge. Cloaking easily. Hunters play the way classes should play. Warlock has nothing special really, pretty standard vanilla character with no real class coolness. Titans have nothing special outside of the shoulder charge that caters to anything about being front line defense big health. It's a shame that hunters feel actually like hunters, while Titans feel like some vanilla shitty choice with no noticeable "Titan-esque" stand-outs. Warlocks feel like some shitty vanilla choice as well. Classes need to be isolated further. Abilities for each need to spread away from the center of typical shooter guy and feel like roles. Supers alone are the only thing close to a"role" you can get. It's just bad.

How to effectively counter a blade dancer. Just one-shot em with your shotgun.(or sniper even though it's harder). I don't really understand why every roaming super has the same armor. But not really the same risk. Of course a arc blade with more armor would be op no doubt.
