I have been changing up builds and trying new weapons out lately. I have never once gotten hate mail in the Crucible until this last week when I was trying out my Hitchhiker FR4. I have had probably 5 or 6 messages over about 5 days along the lines of "gratz on being able to use a fusion scrub" lol it's pretty funny really. Do you pro fusioners endure this too? haha :'D
This one was really funny: http://imgur.com/a/pW8J6
kid gets .39 i wrecked him the entire game then sends me this message after i deny his party requests haha

I'm having flashbacks of year one with all the shotguns out there so I don't even get mad when I get killed by a fusion. I just say, good for you.... hit the re spawn button and go on about my business. Plus I wouldn't want to be a hypocrite. I have a pretty nasty Thesan. Haha.

15 답변작성자: Zadokyte 9/15/2016 2:24:55 PMThis is my experience in using fusion rifles: I have been vooping since the beta and fusions have gone through a lot of changes. In vanilla, fusions absolutely dominated the crucible. If you remember pocket infinity...that gun was just plain dumb. lol. But since that time they have been brought down to a level where they can feel inconsistent without practice. I was just checking stats for trials weapons usage and I think something like less than .02% of all kills are fusion kills, just very very low. I think its easier to shotgun so people tend to gravitate towards that play style. Anyways since I have used them throughout all the changes I have found adjusting to the changes not that difficult and actually I feel like they are balanced right now. I almost always use Plan C. Other fusions are good, but I feel so comfortable with the instant charge rate that I dont want to use anything else. Fusions and especially Plan C will dominate a shotgun almost every time if you play smart. People do not expect to round a corner and get blasted instantly from a fusion 20 feet away. Another thing that I see people making the mistake of is going for stability, when you really want range. A fusion excels best with great range, like Plan C range because this directly affects bolt travel speed. For example, the skills in using a shot gun are baiting, jumping, sliding, aiming, shooting, and quick melee follow up. The skills involved with a fusion are all of the above as well as timing, recoil control (pulling the right stick down as the bolts release to get tighter grouping), and "quick scoping" (essentially charging the rifle and then ads at the last second before the bolts release granting a tremendous aim assist bonus) Once a player can master these skills, they will be virtually unstoppable. People just dont take the time to learn, and then when they cant beat a fusion rifler they get frustrated because their common shotgun tactics dont work. This is when people get salty. The vid is an example of how strong fusions really are.

It's things they don't understand how to handle. The typical meta player doesn't comprehend what isn't used on a daily basis against him or her. This results in the player feeling massively insignificant while facing such players, as they litteraly do no not have a counter that they can effectively deploy against you. They also start to get angrier and angrier as you kill them, so they get more aggressive and fail (Tilt, a term stolen from poker and used in gaming now) and the cycle continues. Luckily enough for me personally, I used to played 3v3s (before the sweat scene was really popular with (and against when we were bored) against my friend who mained a pulse rifle and Fusions. Specifically, he had a Plug. One and a Purifier, that he felt comfortable using at ranges that would make people break TV screens. One specific instance, he was on top of A stairs in Burning Shrine and straight up one shot a kid walking through the archway to C from full health. Another instance, he mapped a kid on Cauldron from top heavy to one of the opening doors. I say it's lucky I played him because he taught me how to play against fusions specifically. One wrong step and I would be blown away well outside fusion range. And because he was a cautious, slower player and I was aggressive I figured out damn fast what to do against him.

4 답변Yeh I've had similar situations where I only get hate mail for using fusions and sidearms. Just ignore it. Keep collecting the salt. For increased salt production, I would try farm Darkblade for a Darkblade spite with rangefinder and rifled barrel, or just use Plan C. Unfortunately the majority of crucible players currently (the try hards) cannot handle it when another player wins their gun battles against them using non-meta, more interesting, more fun, and a greater diversity of weapons. The hate mail is sign that you are a good player, who can use anything without relying on the real crutches. What fusions do you use?

1 답변The other day I joined a late game of Salvage with only one other player on my team against a fireteam of three. I got a triple kill with my Thesan at low health. They sent a message telling me how it was a crutch. They had two shotguns and two last words. They still won by almost 3000 points, so not too sure why they felt compelled to send a message.

2 답변It's because we actually challenge ourselves while others use the meta. Who's the scrub now huh?! THATS RIGHT SHOTGUNNERS AND SNIPERS!! FUSIONS AND SIDEARMS WILL RULE!!!

2 답변Have been running fusions since launch and nearly exclusively in yr2, but have yet to receive hate for it.
Only HM I've received lately was for using the bow emote to show respect to an opponent I barely won a strafing primary battle with; was shotgun end to death by same player right as match ended and messaged "wave at that, bitch!" I replied "???" "That no-scope I got you with!"
Anyway, this just proves, yet again, that people will bitch about any and everything, especially if it's something that can kill you in PvP.

1 답변It's not just fusion rifles. Bad players cry about everything that kills them in this game. If something kills them more than one time in a row, that thing is the new "meta" and it's OP and needs to be nerfed. I blame the parents.
