Hello there guardians, just wanted to share a quick tip with you guys about a certain way that you can manipulate a perk in the Defender class to be of a HUGE advantage to your team. I know some people already know about this but I am intending this post for all the new players or less experienced players who don't really use the Defender class much.
The perk I am talking about is Iron Harvest which is the second perk in the final column for the Defender class. It may sound like an obsolete perk compared to Untouchable and Illuminated, but the true worth of this perk comes from the use of swords. Yes... SWORDS!
With a 60+ ammo count you can generate up to 30 or so orbs of light for your fireteam. These orbs are also medium sized orbs of light so they will boost your team's supers exceptionally fast. Now using this perk in conjunction with the new Memory of Radegast artifact, which allows you to hold more sword ammo and of course, deflect projectiles (holy shit!), will allow you to be of great use to your team in the upcoming strikes and raids. I hope to see this used more as we head into Rise of Iron.
Good luck out there guardians,
Praise the light!

3 답변That's well and good, but when random strike teammates never use their supers, I don't really care about making orbs for them.

I had the Variks bounty to generate 100 orbs of light and completed it in one lvl 41 PoE using that setup, the melee kills giving orbs and using my bubble whenever it was up. My random teammates contributed a bit but most of it was me.

3 답변Bolt caster has the ability to make orbs too so pairing it with that works pretty well. I usually use skyburners annex on my hunter with bolt caster. It makes about 7 orbs per 10 kills. I'm pretty sure a Titan with iron harvest would do the same.

1 답변Have you ever combined it with Bolt-Caster's orb generation perk? It's absolutely -blam!-ing ridiculous.

Yes yes yes and yes! I have been doing this for so long it gets even better when you use the arc exotic sword because it has a perk where when you get a kill you have a chance to make orbs. And it stacks with iron harvest!

5 답변I always run Iron Harvest, it's so good. And then Ruin Wings with a Machine Gun. And the Molesto. Aaaand Gift of the light and gift of the void. Orbs for everyone!!! All the time!!! It's super irritating in strikes with randos, because even though I'm dropping max intellect orbs everywhere, they still never use their supers.

Ah.. my build.. Spike Grenade, Iron Harvest, No Backup Plans or Helm St14 , Imobius, DarkDrinker, Perk for Stronger Shield, Continually recharge Shield. And Armor of Light. Maybe sometimes Weapons.. Anyways, When I see a big group I pop bubble, wait for them to about enter, drop Spike Nade, watch them burn and be blinded if Helm is on, then Sword them with Shotgun combo for shield. Did a PoE once and generated 258 Orbs. Where as the 2nd guy had 16. No lie. I was even surprised myself, never knew a number existed like that. Also Grenade kills give Orb was my Artifact. Almost always dropped 7 orbs.

15 답변Armor of light. I like to send messages to people whenever they try to kill me in my bubble. "First rule of fight club, never challenge a defender with armor of light in his own bubble" XD

1 답변My fav defender perk is the one were you quickly reload your guns, it's just an awesome perk that I use all the time in pvp and pve raids. Surprised no one uses the perk to its advantage.

1 답변I always used it in year one with Ghorn and Ruin Wings. Now I just play sunbreaker in pve.

5 답변Armor of Light always seemed really selfish to me. Not to mention you're most vulnerable inside the bubble.

5 답변Y'know I never got it, what determines the size of orbs? I've seen tiny ones and big ones but I never understood lol
