K/D is meaningless?!
Honestly? If your overall K/D is negative, you're not gonna be good. Everyone has good games and bad games, tries out a new weapon here and there. Sometimes people play sweats and stuff like that... I know. That's why I'm not saying everyone below 3.0 average is a noob.
Anyways:
If you have a negative overall K/D don't give advice to anyone. Thanks.
[spoiler]I had to make this post, because in another I was asking for a defender buff for pvp and got replies like helm of saint 14 and imobius is OP. Whenever I checked those people's K/D, it was between 0.6 and 0.8... [/spoiler]

I'm willing to accept challenges from people with negative K/D who say stats don't matter. Bring your team of 3 negative K/Ds against my team of positive K/Ds.
To make sure nothing was just based on luck we can play 21 games and se who wins most. How about that?

Read the post properly. I NEVER said that.
Yes K/D can be boosted. Yes K/D also goes down because of solo play, sweats etc. But still it is a BASIC indicator of how good someone is.
I'm not saying a 1.5 is better than a 1.3. I'm not saying a 0.6 is better than a 0.4. What I'm saying is that there's going to be a difference in skill and knowledge between a .6 and a 1.5 K/D ratio.
Yes, people might know alot about the game and just lack the reflexes to pull off what they know, BUT that's a small percentage. Probably more than 90% of all players do have the reflexes. If you're over 50 Years old, sick or handicapped, I'll accept this excuse.
Stop trying to look for the smallest reasons to falsify my point. Thanks

Correct. But also incorrect. In the grad scheme of things K/D isn't the bench mark of an experienced player. You can have a .8 kd and understand how the game works inside and out. k/d is mostly a sign of being able to consistently have the reflexes of doing good. However K/D does matter in a way. Players who are really good at pvp likely understand some nuances to engagements that end up making a meaningful difference that an average player might not be aware of. Either way you shouldn't put a bunch of stock into k/d. But it still should be respected to a point.

5 답변I am confused! Looking at your last 7 games on each character you have a K/D ration of 0.77, 0.78, and 1.17. That is hardly the benchmark of a godly player.... or a player running round laying down challenges. Your stats are worse than my Hunters who has a 1.33K/D over the last 7 games, and I suck at Crucible.

You will realise one day, when you have all grown up, that K/D doesn't mean jackshit. It will not help you get a job, nor will it get you pussy, it will however, make you look like a proper -blam!- when you come to a public forum & try to belittle people. 1 답변There are too many ways to manipulate KD in this game. 6 man rift pub stomp, farming KD in the first few wins of trials, join a game session of a low KD player etc. So naturally when you see a 3-4 KD player chances are they earned that stat through pub stomping and if you put them in a scrimmage or against other top tier players they wouldn't hold that KD at all. So yes KD holds some value but not enough to give their opinion more value. You should've watch the MLG stream, a team of trials players averaging over a 3 KD were up against sweat players averaging about a 1.5 and the 3 KD team got destroyed. KD means very little but still holds some value.

3 답변K/D means next to nothing, my K/D is as low as it is because I have days where I just go in to the crucible and dance... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Using K/D to judge someone is the equivalent to judging a book by its cover... A.K.A. a stupid idea

When I first started this game back in year one I was extremely terrible so much to the point that it has ruined my k/d forever and I don't have the time or internet speed to play pvp everyday for hours. This however was be expected since this was the first fps I owned. (But seriously I was terribad, like really a**, I was a piece of sh** . I honestly don't know how jumped like 8. Whole numbers in my k/d it was so bad) My friends extremely good and decent with 1.0+ say "Adapt why do you care so much we play with you because you're chill, not trash and you play well" then I reply "thanks I appreciate it that BUT no one out side my friends list cares." If I go into lfg and ask to do trials people with 1.0s will be very hesitant to let me join even though I've been flawless. I know for a fact that now I can't pvp at all. My Internet sucks, I haven't played in over 2 1/2 weeks and I'm rusty because of it. If you asked to do pvp or trails I would say hell no. I have to practice again (don't even get me started on the changes to snipers.) While I can agree with that fact that if your k/d is VERY low you don't have very much advice you can give to higher level players but I don't think their opinions don't matter completely in pvp or pve. For instance I've played warlock for almost 40 days so it makes sense it ask me how the subclass works because I know it in and out even despite my k/d. I won't tell you to use the stag or alchemist raiments and say it's good, not even as a troll.

Obviously if your an above average player you will have a decent kd overall. Yes there are good and bad games. Good matching and bad. Good teammates and bad. But I think your skills go further than kd. If you play a certain role, help your team mates , play the objective wether it's killing ppl, capturing or slamming. Most people are only concerned with kd. They don't consider your play style.

You know you are saying anyone below 3.0 is a noob when have a K/d below 3.0 right. And yes I have a low K/d. That is only cuz in year 1 I avoided PvP like the plague, and the few games I played I got horrible K/Ds.

The players with good kds normally troll these post making fun of the OP and the how stupid he really is for making a post insulting low kds when they are in fact in the lower kd bracket Oo and defender Titan doesn't need any buffs it does its job in pvp and does it well
