EDIT: flinch isn't even as bad as we all thought it was going to be, sniping is still just as easy, it's a sad sad day when an auto with high caliber rounds can't cause enough flinch to make a sniper rifle inaccurate stay frosty out there
it's all over the place.. Everyone is upset about the change to snipers (most notably, the added flinch)
Personally, I love the change. It creates a much bigger skill gap. We used to get scared coming around a corner and some asshole is just crouched hardscoping with a glare (probably been there for 2 mintues). Now? We get excited because our primary will keep them at bay.. now if they happen to get a headshot, it was a lucky mishap (or they are really good) can't get mad at that..
Being honest. The added flinch was much needed. Making it very hard to hit previously easy shots.
I just find it funny that a lot of people are contemplating quiting sniping or destiny altogether because the easy sniping "fun" factor is gone.. perfect exapmle of all the sheep that play this game and need the "Meta" to compete
Thoughts? Opinions?
Edit: a lot of people didn't like the damage nerf. But it makes sense. Only the highest impact snipers (if any) should be able to one shot someone out of a super.

작성자: A_R8_SPYDER 9/12/2016 6:32:15 PMThere is actually one primary in the game that isn't mimicking a secondary that can come close to counter shotguns.
The Last Word
Snipers aren't great at shotgun ranges, and they have to be useable in mid range because, just take a look at almost every map in Destiny (they are mid to close range) Now, every primary in the game can counter snipers in almost every situation, unless the sniper is quick enough or it isn't going against a pulse rifle or scout rifle at range. Shotguns are and still were a crutch before this sniper nerf. You could use a wide selection of primaries, and be excellently equipped to deal with mid and close range. With snipers, you could only pick one primary to actually play in the map without camping or playing too defensively.
The Last Word
So tell me, if you think snipers were a crutch, what were shotguns?

This would be equal to flinch on snipers.. shotguns are about distance, snipers are about aim.. make primaries be the meta and not just handcannons/shotguns/snipers.

1 답변Honestly bro, I could care less about the sniper nerfs. Most youtubers complain about everything that doesn't goes there way. I know of a few youtubers that hardly complain and accept defeat after losing a gun duel but the thing is, they are COD youtubers and not Destiny. It's a natural tendency by human nature to complain whenever something goes horribly wrong or in this case, Bungie doing something they don't like. Snipers were a crutch. If you didn't snipe, you'll have a bad time just like how things were in year 1 with Fusions and Shotguns. Snipers out classed nearly every primary because of their flinch locks were so low. The odds of Mida Multi-tool actually beating a sniper at range was very low even if you landed those consistent head shots. By the way I know some people will say that I am a cry baby "because I can't get gud and learn to fight a sniper." Funny thing is, I am a complaining brat on the forums but reality is that in every other shooting game out there, snipers are never as easy as it is in Destiny to use. Good bye guys and have a great day. Ignore the rants and complains Mtashed and some others are making.

3 답변Down voted because you're displaying the same childish behavior you are bashing on. Sniping always took skill. This patch didn't suddenly "add skill." It made it so people could challenge snipers more consistently. A good sniper will still dome you regardless of the flinch added or not. Secondly you can't out skill the damage nerf. That forces me into a piece of equipment. That's not skill. That's limiting options. Sniping someone out of a super was difficult to do especially if they were already aware of you. It also provided counter play to supers. Now the only other reliable counter is another super. Heavies don't count because at best you trade. and you don't always have access to heavy ammo. Team shots are not reliable either. I personally haven't decided one way or another if I like this or not. as both pre patch and post patch have it's advantages and disadvantages. I'll have to play for about a month before I can really say if it was a positive or negative change overall. AA reduction I don't give to cents about. It barely mattered before and it barely matters now. Only thing it really impacted was swipe snipes. Which if anything is more reliant on timing rather than how much AA you have. In low tier/average games these changes might have a noticeable impact. In top tier play where the truly good exist these changes will barely register as a blip and only in select instances. Pretty sure every god tier player has a god tier efferdeets in their locker. I do. And in sweats/trials supers will just be saved to counter the enemy super. In other words the one and done super meta (nova/fist) slowly rising now has even more of a reason to exist.

I personally never sniped bc I was horrible. It's like my sticks stand still when a person runs by.. The only time I ever get a headshot is when someone is looking into there sniper then 5 seconds to line up with there head if I'm lucky hahah Random note... Somehow I'm godly with Queen breakers bow. I don't even need to aim most times lolz

2 답변This change is not going to affect good snipers. They are still going to be extremely strong in 3 v 3 and trials. Snipers needed a wider skill gap. They got it. Damage nerf I didn't think was needed, but I do understand it. Hard for me to get upset when my fusion rifles do not have a class that can kill a mobile super in one hit. You cannot have a jack of all trades weapon.

1 답변I'm still going to snipe, shotgun, sidearm, and fusion rifle same as before. I pick my secondary depending on the map anyway. I will say though, it feels good beating out snipers with a primary more reliably.

3 답변작성자: oPROFESSIONALo 9/12/2016 5:40:56 AMLumi, bro needs serious Speech lessons for his terrible lisp. So hard to watch his stream and listen to speak. With all that money you nerds give him " no idea why" he should honestly be able to afford help.

I am loving the changes. People are finally using a primary. I love that the only time people can get a sniper kill on me is if they get the drop on you from a distance. If they don't, then it's really easy to counter with a scout rifle or other weapon if you're close enough. Shotguns I think are too powerful now though because of the sniper nerf. They need to buff primaries a little bit more, and I think it would be perfect.

6 답변My only thought is.. "It's quite funny how I got shit for being an average crucible player pre-patch, now post patch and I've received hate mail from sniping at least 3 times and have only played maybe 10 games" isn't that right Brahmabull0428?

1 답변I don't know what you're on about. Most streamers are happy with the flinch thing, thy have an issue with damage reduction which was a stupid move by bungie.

1 답변I was never a huge fan of them outside of PVE. Always felt boring standing around waiting for someone to come by and it felt dirty getting quickscopes.
