This is an idea I came up with after reading the grimoire and how most, if not all, of the characters In it use a singular one of the subclasses.
So, what if, in Destiny 2, or imagine it was this game in the beginning, we ended up as one class. We stary with no class, just basic, fairly weak, attacks that use Light. Then, say after you put a certain amount of hours into the game or something, maybe a certain point in the story, you were assigned a subclass that fits with your playstyle you seem to show. (Assuming all three subclasses for each class, and swords, are in play here) An algorithm would probably have to be made that tracked certain stats to help decide
Hunters:
Bladedancer: to be assigned this class you would typically have many Melee kills, shotgun, any close range weapon really. You would usually run in, get a few kills, then return behind cover. The algorithm I mentioned would somehow have to track this.
Gunslinger: to be assigned this class you would be the explorer. You would spend much time in each mission, with few deaths, in which you just explored the areas you were in. You would have many grenade kills, hand cannon, and side arm kills, as you would only engage as necessary until you were ready to move on. This is kind of the renegade class I suppose.
Nightstalker: This is the defensive class. To be assigned this class you would hang back, and have many kills with long ranged weapons such as snipers. However, you would also have a decent amount with closer range weapons, like hand cannons or autos, as you still enjoy "going ham" every once in a while. These players would usually play it safe and stick back and wait for the enemies to come to them, even if they sometimes still get reckless once they come.
My most extensive class knowledge is with Hunters, so I'll take suggestions for the others before I edit them in. For Striker I have a rough idea, but we'll see.

7 답변No. The Guardian is able to control all three subclasses because he is exceptionally strong. The NPCs probably can't because they are not strong enough, or they just don't have a high enough light. Our Guardian has destroyed Atheon, slayed Crota, waited for his father to come, then kill him too.

But why should someone be able to only use one subclass? Isn't the point of 9 total subclasses available so it can already got the play style of every player already. Being limited to one subclass per character would make the worse then when the content drought first hit...
