Statistically there's more gamers on the PS3 or Xbox 360 that play Destiny then the PS4 or Xbox one n now Destiny wants to force their loyal players out there enjoyment of the game n spend more money on a new system n the add-ons, that's screwed up, n to differentiate legacy consoles to the newer consoles, hell if u ask me might as well call it discrimination to the gamer world.... Y'all need to back track n keep ur loyal gamers in the loop rather then force em to make money for u

1 답변Why hold back the newer generation consoles
those who invested their money into more quality games
So that you can get a free pass and keep the game from evolving into something better
if you can't understand, basically why waste our money because you're too stubborn to switch
2 답변Statistically you're wrong. But you're right, I'm pretty upset that I can't play Destiny on my 64, wtf Bungie.

According to Bungie, less than 10% of the player base plays Destiny on Legacy Consoles. Someone on this site did a recent poll and his figures say that a little over 5% play Destiny on the Legacy consoles. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/211202987?sort=0&page=0 Please don't pull figures out of your ass and try to pass them off as facts.

1 답변Actually, you couldn't be more wrong, less than 10% of the playerbase is on legacy consoles. Please don't pull "statistics" out of your ass.

Not true. 1. Bungie's internal metrics state that 90%+ of all Destiny players are already playing the game on PS4 or XB1. 2. Microsoft no longer even MAKES the XB360 anymore (production stopped earlier this year), and its only a matter of time before Sony does the same. 3. Every console maker has machines in development that are even more powerful than PS4/XB1. 4. Bungie has to compete with other game devs who have already removed their support for those consoles. If Bungie continues to support these outdated consoles they put themselves I the position of trying to sell CDs in digital-download/music streaming world. Technology passes them by, and they hurt their own business. Blockbuster Video and Kodak are two (formerly) massively successful companies that either went under or were severely damaged because they refused to adapt to changes in technology (Blockbuster==the change from physical media to digital delivery===so they got replaced by Netflix and Hulu. Kodak===photographic film===which has almost no use in this era of digital photography. No need for film. No need for the products to DEVELOP film) TLDR: This was a change that was inevitable. Not because Bungie is looking to screw you over, but because this is being driven by the evolution of gaming technology.

2 답변작성자: DevinMiller22 8/18/2016 2:18:25 PMI'm going a make a few points that might clear up your frustration. Only 10% of the player base is on legacy consoles not including the ones upgrading. With the new expansion coming there will be many new players to the game and players upgrading that will quickly and I mean quickly outweigh the 10% lost. You've had 3 years to upgrade to a console and all your content can be transferred. They are offering a discounted collectors edition just for players like you that don't want to spend so much to upgrade that has every expansion including RoI. The legacy consoles are 11 years old and you can't expect them to hold back progression of the game for the lack of system memory for a 10% player base.
-
First, you're wrong about there being more players on old gen. 99% of their player base is on current gen. Second, you can buy the collection edition of Rise of Iron for $40, which comes with everything in it. Regular Rise of Iron is $30. You aren't spending that much more money. So get over it.

Where are these statistics at exactly? Also not having money or whatever your reason for not upgrading consoles is getting old, you've had plenty of time to get a new console, and no one is forcing you to do anything, it's not like you playing destiny has an effect on anyone in the gaming world, don't worry, we don't mind that you'll be left behind :)
