My thoughts are that they're show casing the Makeshift Scarf as it will be after Rise of Iron is released. Remember, all Y1 class items (excluding Raid specific) are being put back into rotation. So, those of us that have the Makeshift, will be able to use it once again. Of course, those that don't, hopefully can still get it by some means. The shader itself, is close to the Ascendant Plane black, but has the gold of the Vallsgarde shader. It looks entirely new as well. This is also the first time they're using a shader to show case Iron Banner armor. Normally, they do not add one at all. The default color scheme for this IB gear set looks great.
