Primaries need big buffs to bring them back to what they were. Just think, back in years one did anyone complain about snipers? No they didn't cause they could slide around the corner primary ou and destroy the sniper. The only way that you would die is if the sniper hit a really nice shot on you. We need to bring those days back. Nowadays primaries don't even reg half the time.

5 답변I think primaries are fine, I think snipers are fine, I think shotguns are fine, I think side arms are fine, I think fusions are fine....it is literally the most balance destiny has ever been as far as viable options in pvp.... and you still see ppl complain.... it will never change because its not a game like halo where everyone runs around with the same load out.... therefore you will also have someone blaming deaths on the weapon that killed them or didn't get the kill for them... its a vicious circle

4 답변You guys ever heard of this super secret sniper counter? Works every time... It's this strange mechanic that if used correctly, can allow to you to survive even though a sniper is shooting at you.... It's this thing called cover, it's basically you stay behind solid objects and the snipers can't even damage you! It'll probably be nerfed soon because honestly it makes it so that snipers can't even hit you it's amazing!

10 답변Snipers are a marksman weapon and should be treated as one; high risk, high reward. A body shot should not take 99% of your health leaving you vulnerable to one bullet follow up kills. Where's the risk in that? They either need a higher flinch or a slower fire rate for high impacts. This is a fair change imo. If you don't agree, that's fine but please let me know why.

Here I'm mostly talking about 3v3 game modes. And op has a certain stigma now, but it's core meaning is over powered. Which usually means, has advantage in most situations, and has little to no counters if used correctly. Take a look at skilled players. When I say skilled, I'm not talking about pros. I'm talking about anyone who picks up a weapon and practices with it, and with its tactics First, i want to say. All special weapons take skill. Snipers are in all senses the most op thing in destiny though. They are a special, with shotguns, fusions, and sidearms. Every one of those classes has a most effective type, with party crasher, plan c types, and well sidearms can't ohk. A skilled shotgunner is only effective at a close range. They can be countered by backing up with just a primary, or can be beat by a fusion from a further distance. A fusion rifle does short-short/mid distance ohk. A small charge can make it just like a shotgun with greater range, but again gives a second for a shotgunner or any class to dodge it's shot and close distance. Here's the sniper.... Again these are all in effective hands, but not gods. A sniper can ohk from any distance on the map, within a couple of seconds. The only strong counter is when in extreme close quarters. So it can beat every primary fight, every secondary fight, on most ranges. They are not forced to go close, in fact getting close is a mistake for a sniper, so it rarely happens. A shotgunner/fusion can only gain advantage in situations by risking the run in, camping in a corner, or baiting. Now for counters. Destiny is the dumbest sniping mechanical game ever. They literally gave every counter for a sniper, a solution. Between the low zoom scopes, which basically make the sniper a scout rifle with a little slower rtf, no flinch perks, high AA, quickscope capabilities, even viewing radar when ads, snipers have no counter when the right one is equipped. The sniper can literally take their time in every gun battle as they are already being shot, but they only need to shoot once. No sway, and the reticle lines up with the center of the screen, for easy quick shots. Literally just tape a small piece of paper in the center of your tv, and now you have a constant reticle, for quickscoping at any range. This is all especially true in 3v3 games, which is why trials is full of them. Another reason why the sniper hc combo is the most popular. As I've already said, the sniper can beat every gun in the game, other than heavy, at any range, besides close up shotgun range. This is where the handcannon comes in. A good sniper positions himself with a long or short lane. So that side is covered. So I come from behind, or on the side of him, with a shotgun, well a good sniper will then move slightly back, so by the time I slide around that corner, 3 quick shots with tlw, or 2 shots with luck in chamber, and I never even got within 10 feet of him. This style is op in this game. All it takes is the skill to use it. The problem is, every playstyle takes skill to use effectively, but after all is said and done, this style beats all the rest. There is little risk to running a sniper, there is little counter to a sniper. For all purposes forget about abilities, supwrs, and teamwork, as these can be applied to any fight. But I don't see how anyone can not see the state of sniping mechanics in this game as simply, broken

For everyone below mentioning competitive play: competitive play consists of at max 5% of the player population in PvP. Bungie should not balance the game based on a minority. If the sane thing happening in competitive play happens in lower tiers I could see it, but as trials proves (in my experience) that isn't the case.

Here's what needs to happen low rate of fire pulse rifles and autos need a slight buff to damage and less damage fall off to compensate for the low fire rate. Snipers need to have more flinch across the board if you're getting destroyed and all shots are connecting by a scout or any other gun there is no reason the sniper should win that fight unless they go back under cover and then try and shoot again.

41 답변They absolutely need a nerf, shotguns got nerfed into the ground, and so should snipers.

They need more random flinch and you shouldn't start with ammo. In halo, snipers and shotguns were power weapons. Everyone shouldn't spawn with special ammo. Special ammo crates should be something you control and fight over on the map. The pick up radius also needs to be smaller, more like heavy ammo.

16 답변작성자: [SiN]大き氷 8/13/2016 1:04:37 PMNo one complained about snipers because by and large no one was using them. So yeah you have some truth there but you are focusing on the wrong part. I was using them the entire time, and they've been OP since the game launched. Doesn't matter what you use, snipers have so much range and damage they can avoid anything and kill everything easily. If something closes in just run and re position. It's the easiest thing in the game still. Personally where fusion rifles where at, until everyone cried to buff them because they are bad, is where specials should be.

29 답변작성자: Erijian 8/11/2016 11:57:38 PMOrr..Bungie can just nerf Sniper Rifles so they're better balanced against the slower killing primaries. Primaries right now are in a great spot aside from a few outliers; let's not allow Sniper Rifles to dictate balance mmk?

1 답변Agreed I liked how it was in the thorn era where you would get punished for hard scoping a lane for too long cause you would pretty much give someone a free 2 tap with thorn or 3 tap with TLW

15 답변All that needs to be done is fix the connections, hit detection, and then increase accuracy of all primaries (getting rid of bloom). Higher TTK removes skill, you and I both know that snipers at a top level are at a disadvantage, even with the current state of primaries.

5 답변I think the high aim assist snipers need to be brought back to the levels of the standard snipers. The issue seems to be with particular weapons, not with an entire class of weapons. Fro example, sniping with the Stillpiercer is still fairly challenging. LDR and Longbow are too easy to use. The same goes for shotguns: they need to dial back the high impact shotguns so they don't completely outclass all the weapons at such long ranges.
