First off I want to say that the goal for acquiring full gear sets is not very high. I am just shooting for a damage decrease or something for the gear now cause I felt there is no real need to have all the gear unless there was an incentive. The April update is allowing people to eventually reach max level by playing and grinding exotics for their next boost to a piece of armor or weapon. There needs to be an incentive to gather all gear sets or there is no real need to. A shader when you have all pieces is cool but what does that really do for me? Doesn't help kill or not be killed by the enemies. Whats the benefit to getting a whole new raid set when people will more than likely infuse it to something else to power their old gear up?
Example:
All Kingsfall Raid gear (5% damage decrease from Taken) or (5% damage increase to Taken)
All Vault of Glass gear (5% damage decrease from Vex) or (5% damage increase to Vex)
All Crota's End gear (5% damage decrease from Hive) or (5% damage increase to Hive)
All Vanguard/Crucible/Faction gear (5% extra rep gains) This will stack for faction exotics rep boost.
Other Ideas:
All Raid gear: Faster reloading and carry more ammo for all weapons
This would become a trade off from variety but make the goal of striving for gear sets that much more desirable.

2 답변No, it takes away the customisation options of Destiny's armour system. Having this would take us back to the days of Vanilla where everyone looked almost identical.

Well they technically do already. Raid gear has perks that help you in the raid like faster reload speed while in an aura or increased agility when holding a relic...etc they all features weapons that do increased damage to that raids particular enemy as well. Same for PvP sets like although not to the same degree. But there are helmets that grant bonus super energy from reviving an ally and boots that give increased agility for capturing zones.

1 답변So we sacrifice using an exotic armor for whatever bonus wearing the full set gives us? That's gonna be a tough sell. Then there will be those that just change to faction gear at the end of a match/strike. I actually like the idea, but not sure how it would be properly implemented. That's one of my goals right now with Destiny is to collect the Spektar faction gear. It's a bit of a process and I do believe there should be some sort of bonus. Maybe only 4 out of 5 armors need to be faction that way exotic armors could be used. Idk

6 답변I don't like this idea only because I like to see guardians who look different and ultimately this would make that visual variety less common. It would be a bit like the Crota's End period, when everyone looked very similar (apart from which exotic they were using).

8 답변There is literally no reason whatsoever to go for a full Set of gear. This is a mistake.

2 답변Bonuses for full sets would limit customization options. We'd end up back in Year 1 when having the best gear meant looking like everyone else.

Sounds too cool, and as with all things too cool the community would ruin it. If the mood of obtaining is rng based then the ones who aren't having what they need dropped will cry nerd because it's not fair they can't have it and whatever perks that came with the armor set would get faded. Or They go the new route of everything being handed out to everyone at the same time and make the perks shit all so those cry babies feel appeased. #whinersruineddestiny
