Seeing as a bunch of new players are and will be joining Destiny in the near future, I decided to try and help them out. I've been playing Destiny since December 2015 and mid-April was ready to quit because I was tired of running strikes and Crucible. I wanted something new.
I wanted to do a raid.
I did what my Year 1 friend told me and went online and looked for groups to run Vault of Glass and Crota's End with me. At the end of June (2 months after beginning this search), I made a forum complaining about people running raids expecting perfection and refusing newer players. The day after, I joined a different friend, xXvallentXx, and his friend in Challenge of Elders. When I joined them, xXvallentXx had seen I was running Crota without a fireteam and had exited to help him, so he asked if I had finally finished a raid. Upon telling him I was at Crota but unable to beat him, he said he would help me with it.
A few weeks prior he and I had started Vault of Glass, but due to differing schedules at the time, we were unable to get past the Templar. He and I were waiting for some of his friends to run Crota when he commented on our run, and we decided to do Vault of Glass. That night I completed my first raid. It took 3.5 hours, but in the end I was overjoyed and wished to continue raiding as long as it was enjoyable. At 11pm we went to finish Crota, which we finished in 30 minutes.
At this point I had completed two raids in a total of 4 hours. But we weren't done there. At this point we decided to make a clan, Awesome Raid Group Heroes [ARGH] (named because xXvallentXx made a joke and the tag was a sound we all made quite often). At this point, 11:30pm, we decide to start King's Fall. Throughout the week we played King's Fall for 19 hours trying to reach and beat Oryx. By the time of the reset we still hadn't beat Oryx, but the thing is, we all became friends and are still planning on running King's Fall again.
To some, this may seem easy. To others it will inspire. I just want to encourage those who are new to Destiny not to give up on your goals or dreams. The way to get things done is to make good friends and to not give up.
And for those of you who have completed raids before, please, I beg of you, to be good people, be patient, kind, and forgiving and to help these new players become better players and for them to develop the knowledge of the raids you have.
Also, this is more for me than anyone else, but xXvallentXx, you are my hero, my friend, and I hope to one day be as good a person as you are. I love you, man.

good story, glad you got a group now. I am kinda in the same situation, my clan just raids too late and I cant find another one. I just spent, 4 or 5 hours today in KF.. got first two bosses down with one group, then joined another on Oryx, and we never could pull it off, we got close but something would happen and we would wipe. I really wanna finish it, but I also want a clan thats a real clan, maybe being from MMOs I expect too much community, but man finding friends to hang and chat with is darn near impossible in this game, I dont wanna quit, but I think thats my only option now.

4 답변I'm a new player.. And after reading this, I was like "Oooh so those arent supposed to be done alone".. I got a total of 25h of game, i'm level 40 with 280ilvl.. And I dont know how to do 2 things: -Find people to play with.. That being said, like, how does one do that.. Theres so little interaction. -Make the best choices regarding gear/ how to get it. This two things are somehow connected, in similar games, having a "guild" kind of provides you those. So if theres anyone out there who would be willing to play.. I'm up for it. Going through foruns and searches starts to tire me a bit 😄

1 답변We have a small clan. Only around ten of us. Quite often we're stuck with four or five and need an extra person. We've taken newbies through as far as we can before its getting to late and people are to tired. We don't mind helping if there's room. But we like to take the piss as we were once the once getting the piss taken. It's all in good jest tho.. I can run every task throughout the raid yet i only have 4 completions I think.

2 답변I made the mistake of raiding with a guy on my friends list (met him randomly on a planet patrol) and all his friends months ago. They were impatient veterans and i eventually just dropped out and unfriended him. Then i came across my current squad, Branch of Dark Bloods. I was just a member of their group for the longest time and helped other members out. Just recently i explained to them I'd never completed a raid and had a bad experience last time. I went into King's Fall with them and they explained everything and were very patient and understanding when i messed up. It was a two-day task due to scheduling, but we got it done and i got Qullum's Terminus which is one of my fave guns. Like others have said: Make sure the people you raid with are patient, friendly and understanding.

There are a lot of veteran raiders who are bored and would help new players (I am one of them). I suggest a couple things for new raiders: 1. Watch a "how to" video to get an idea of the mechanics. This is really important - its a LOT easier to clarify than explain from scratch. 2. Have the right weapons (good sniper and hmg). 3. Make your own post on LFG and just say you are new and are looking for help (as opposed to trying to join a group who is usually looking to do a fast run). 4. Add nice people from your fire team to your friends list. After a few tries you will start to have people to raid with. 5. Be focussed - experienced raiders get impatient with people who constantly talk. Thats why you see adult only posts. I am so bored with KF that I actually look for posts of people that need help. It makes the run interesting again. Good luck - raiding is really fun when you find a good group of people.

5 답변작성자: I can be trusted with guns 8/7/2016 4:15:49 PMI'm a new player to this game, I got it 4 days ago. I haven't done a raid yet because most people don't wanna play with me because I'm only a level 35. If anyone is willing to help me complete a raid or two on PlayStation 4, I would greatly appreciate that. I'm grinding away trying to get to level 40 so some people might wanna play with me. Anyway add me on psn if you wanna do a raid. Psn: x_KushMan420

11 답변I'm always looking for raiders now that my clan is off doing other things. Dozens of completions on each raid and happy to take newcomers. Just need 5 willing and able souls with a decent sniper rifle and a primary they are comfortable with. Msg me if you are on XBONE, GT the same, if you want to raid. I have near infinite patience and some time to kill in the evenings. That's after 6pm CST.

I have soloed the entire first three parts of the Crotas end raid and am willing to share my crota checkpoint to people the only thing I require is that you look up how to kill him because unless you want to hear a mad 15 year old go on forever explaining the sword I would recommend you just go to a guide or something but again I'm on xbone and have a crota checkpoint I will be accepting members today and hopefully get some people through crota today

작성자: SanchoPapiBling 8/6/2016 6:51:56 AMLooking for 1 person to join for Hard Mode King's Fall raid on Xbox one. Prefer someone with experience yet a bit patient. Guardian class doesn't matter, prefer at least 320 light level and a powerful sniper rifle. Check point is at the Totem. Message me at GT: SanchoPapiBling for invite.

1 답변I haven't done any of the raids either haha. Been a solo player since Destiny first launched. Then took a break for a while just after year 2 started. I'm hoping to find some people to go thru them with before RoI drops hopefully. I'm on xbone if anyone wants to hit me up

3 답변작성자: Courtney Rose 8/5/2016 11:13:14 PMI've only done Vault of Glass and a little bit of King's Fall, which I still have never completed. I did Vault of Glass with some new friends I had met that day, then we got to a checkpoint on King's Fall afterwards. I don't have that many friends that play Destiny, only a few and they don't really play with me. I really, really don't wanna deal with those "looking for a group" sites either. I'm pretty much stuck running crucible and strikes as well. I still play the game all the time, though.
