Yeah, but assuming that every titan that charges you, will be coming at you in an open area and from a distance that allows you to change to your shotgun and for it to be ready to shoot; is like assuming every sniper will be standing straight across from you fully exposed, or that every shotgunner will be running straight at you from the front.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think SC is OP and I don't think it needs nerfed. But, assuming that keeping your eye on your radar and using a weapon that can stop a charging titan is just naive. It's like assuming that a bullet resistant vest will save your life in any fire fight. Lol!
"Carry a shotgun, don't let them get that close. You'll never die from SC again." - Says the ignorant.
There are several situations where you're not going to be able to stop them or see them coming. But, the same could be said about a lot of tactics in the crucible.
But, trying to act like having a shotgun and watching your radar will save you from every SC is ignorant.

Having a close range weapon will help prevent many shoulder charge kills though. Not all, but many. The common response to people crying about snipers being "stay out of sniper lanes" doesn't help all that much as people still get killed with snipers outside of sniper lanes. The common complaint I see from people about SC is when it happens while they are going around a corner. No different from people corner camping with a shotgun )other than being far more situational) but somehow worse only because it involves shoulder charge.

작성자: FrenetiCreature 8/3/2016 6:04:25 PMRight. Like I said, I personally don't think that it's OP, in and of itself. But, when you get into a match where there are 2 or more Strikers on the other team, skating around the map with their Universal Remote, on a shotgun + Shoulder Charge massacre. It does getting rather annoying. Because, especially with multiple Strikers doing it all at the same time, there are so many situations where it's just plain unavoidable. So, I understand the frustrations of the community. I myself like to use it sometimes. But, I also like to use the "Harder to kill when using FoH" perk more. And remember, I don't think the ability itself is OP, but I also don't think it would be detrimental to the perk itself or to the Striker subclass, if it needed a melee charge to be used. That would only slow it down a little bit, especially if the person using it had maxed out strength. But, I think that would make it far less annoying and would cause anyone using it, to use it a little more wisely.

I really don't think it should eat a melee charge. What needs changed is how strikers can activate it, or really, the means of meeting the criteria to use it. We titans should not be able to sprint in to a wall to charge up SC. We aren't covering any ground to build up that momentum. Make it so anyone with their face against a wall stops running. This will help deal with those corner SC situations. The other thing that needs changed is how we can sprint, slide, shoot and then SC. That's broken as hell. The second we slide we should lose SC. The auto targeting needs toned down. I shouldn't be able to sprint into a room and SC someone that is at a 90 degree angle or greater from my front. If it's total range was 90 degrees (note: total, as in 45 degrees to the left, 45 degrees to the right and the same up and down{essentially the enemy has to be on your screen}) it would become much easier to dodge. With these changes made, it would not require a melee charge. People could dodge it more readily. The damage and OHK capability could remain the same as these changes make it much more of a commitment and a higher risk for the striker.
