I've heard enough to understand. Don't need this post staying up without a purpose.

I would argue that win % is far less important than K/D. Because there is no telling if someone plays solo or in a premade unless it is trials. Kd is player specific where as win % is greatly influenced by ones team mates. The way sbmm seems to work at the moment is that if someone with an above average kd and combat rating was to enter a 6v6 gametype solo, they would be sorted into the team with the lowest averages in the hopes that the one player will carry thier team to victory. The most wellrounded team with all decent players will generally win against the team with 1-2 above average players with 4-5 below average players. Therefore it is my opinion that K/D Ratio is a reletively acurate representation of a players individual skill.

I don't know, I've read around here evidence of artificial kd inflation by having a team of 1.3kds under a guy with a .9 kd leading the party. I'm not 100% sure though. If that is the case, that is just one more drop in an ocean of bullshit that is Destiny pvp. Considering the unbalanced game modes that are broken with shit connections and god awful mechanics, it's amazing the game hasn't had more negative press. Honestly, pvp is best played on a different game altogether, skip destiny and play something else.

I consider anything positive good, since you're contributing and the average is below 1 anyways. Plus, it's all personal perspective. Just like how people in real life have different opinions on how much money is considered rich/poor, etc depending on how much they make themselves.

I don't care for PvP, but I want to know how you figure 3 good games min is the qualifying factor to not be made fun of lol. I've had good streaks, and good streaks usually turn to shit streaks. Been between a 1 and 1.2 on my Hunter for a while now. I don't PvP often though.

7 답변Ummmm..... K/D didn't help me get my bachelor's degree, Master's Degree, or career. My K/D has been attributed to my amount of alcohol I've consumed while playing Destiny or any other game. In other words, who cares. Unless you're a kid..... Then who cares because you should be outside instead of sitting in front of tv obtaining diabetes.

If the players KD is negative, it indicates a lot of poor decision making such as double peeking snipers, solo rushing with shottie, or poor primary gun skill. These factors can really hurt a players overall performance in a team game mode, thus, the reason I overlook them when building a team. If a players KD is mildy postive 1.1-1.4, it indicates on average much better decision making and faster reaction times. It shows (especially in trials) that they are a team player, or are decent against 1 or 2 enemies on their own. If a players KD is mid-range positive 1.5-1.8, these players usually exhibit great decision making, fast reaction times, and excellent primary gun skill. It also demonstrates they are able to handle 2 v 3 and 1 v 3 situations at least part of the time. These players also usually give good callouts, and will play smart, holding orbs and maintaining objectives. To me, this is the ideal player, someone in mid-range with something to prove, but also something to gain. If a players KD is high range 1.9-3.0, we know that they have superb reaction times, excellent primary and secondary gun skill, and almost always make the right decisions in engagements. Usually that KD will be accompanied by a 80% or higher win/loss ratio. If they have a high w/l this means they are a solid team player, and play to win, rather than for KD. If they have a high KD but less than 70% wins, they are playing for KD and not the win. Most of the time, high KD players are condescending to others not on their level, and are rather brash to their teammates, as they usually believe they can do it all on their own. A lot of the time this is true, more power to them. But, this is the reason I wouldn't ever play with someone like this unless they're a friend, is because I play the game to have fun. I have a positive KD and can deal without having someone talk shit to me about KD. In Destiny, the average KD is around a 1, or less, so the players that are higher than that are usually quite good and excel at the game. The reason being, supers, grenades, power melees all are abilities that you can't exactly plan for in every scenario. In 6v6 you could have these coming at you from all directions. In 3v3, a more targeted area, but can still easily overwhelm players. That's why Destiny can never be truly competitive, because there are too many things that would need to be removed to create an equal playing field if the players are on similar stat levels. KD is important in determining skill level, but not the only deciding factor. I've played several flawless cards with players with negative KDs because they went try hard and gave it their all. Communication, chemistry, and team dynamics are all essential for victory. So while a 1.1-1.4 KD might not be fantastic, given that player another look, because he may just be the one to help you to the lighthouse.
