This maybe a stupid idea, but what about on Bungie Day (7/7) we are allowed in destiny to put exotic gear in every slot (have an exotic primary, special, heavy, helmet, gauntlets, chest piece, and boots at the same it). Yeah it would be complete chaos, but it would only be for that day and only that day. Idk, it's something that's been in my head for a while now.
