Yeah, in a small room with no obstacles, grenades, super abilities, other teammates and enemies..
So not really. Maybe you should grab a Red Death, try it until you get gud.
RoF isn't the say all end all. Plus with your shitty impact, you're more hard pressed to get crits. A single crit misses and I've got enough health to end you anyway. I'm a Gunslinger when I use Red Death, all I hit are crits. Unflinching perk with increased stability means I don't miss.
High calibre rounds along with the increased flinch proc rate that Pulses have means you're flinching all over the place. And again, you miss any crits or get a weak body shot on me and you're beyond done.
I've got a crazy Grasp roll, too. I know how high RoF pulses function. They are good, but not necesarily the best.

Dude, I love red death. It's my most used exotic. It's just the archetype is garbage right now. I agree that rof isn't everything but I think it's because of how you use the gun. Not because of using abilities and jumping around

How I use it? I point and shoot bud. The archetype is not bad, that's just something many people are claiming. They want it back to almost 2 burst with better stability. It was too good, and it is STILL good now. Don't let forum opinions do your talking. Play around with it for a day or 2 in PvP, I'm telling you that the gun isn't bad. Sheesh, word of mouth here on the forums is like a disease. If enough people type something it just becomes a cemented fact. That isn't how facts work though. Fact is the gun is still very viable in PvP. Everyone is just worried about having that perfect fabled weapon that the forums have been in an uproar about.

I found this out for myself on the first day of the patch

Most people on this forum base their opinion on their load out. For example, I like grasp over red death, check my load out and you will see I have a grasp. Check my grim and you will see I have a red death. I understand you've found a load out that works for you. I remember when ghorn was "op" and I was laughing with my messenger (adept) in hand. But there is a meta, and these posters are right, RoF wins when EVERY pulse rifle archetype kills in the same # of bursts (3 head shots). The faster you get those shots out, the faster you kill and the more often you flinch the opponent (in case you aren't hitting the head). Also, you aren't the only one who can use grenades, abilities, supers, and cover so that argument is completely irrelevant. A competent opponent will use those same things against you, plus a superior weapon (in terms of TTK). Again, it's awesome you found something but numbers don't lie. Higher RoF=faster ttk which = better weapon.
