Handcannons as a class are more suited to close to medium range encounters. But the imprecations fire rate suggests otherwise. If you ever get into a close range encounter and got lucky with controlling the terrible stability, the gun would be lucky to get two shots off, and because of its poor impact. It wont even two shot headshot.
Basically you have to use a gun built for close range when its stats force you to use it long range, good luck getting seven headshots.

It is the same.exact archetype as the first curse. If you don't like it you will not like TFC I love that type of hand cannon because I can gun down supers with it in 4-5 shots to the head. It's even easier if I prime them with a nade or hit them with smoke.

Many people have First Curse so it's not impossible, and they DID buff Imprecation already a while ago. Yeah this gun is unforgiving. If you hate it then you probably aren't going to love First Curse. If you really want to get good with any hand cannon then this quest is awesome. It will teach you to be accurate, to pace your shots, to pick your engagements and to use cover. Many people have given the tip to follow other team mates and steal the kill. Let them soften the target for you while you line up a head shot. :-) If you aren't accurate then go practice head shots in PVE until you are consistent. If you keep missing head shots this quest will suck. You only need ONE good game. :-) You can cheese it in classic rumble with a willing victim, but you will probably feel better if you actually earn it. I love First Curse and Judith-D, but they aren't for everyone.

This is what happens when people cry about one gun and they nerf the entire archetype. The nurfs are never fully vetted and they ruin the archetype for months if not a year before they put together a buff that fixes the issue. Auto rifles, Hand cannons, and red death archetype pulses have all been victims. Now you just wait your turn and it will be useable again for a short while. As Bungie has been clear that every gun will have its moment in time.
