I mean just think about it, an outer space attack sent by the Cabal Emperor with thousands of Cabal Harvesters and a few Cabal Flagships that carry Imperial Land Tanks along with a massive Cabal Destroyer called the Moon Crusher, and they attack Earth, the Moon, Venus, etc. There could be a massive sequence of space battles that could be similar to Star Wars" Battles of Yavin, Corusant, Naboo, and Endor. (involving mostly cutscenes similar to the intro of TTK) The Tower's fleet would be commanded by Commander Zavala. The fleet would be supported by all of the Factions by bringing their own freighters to the battle. Your guardian would also join the fight accompanied by Cayde-6 and others. The Cabal's fleet would be led by a Primus of course ( similar to Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars A New Hope) The Primus' orders are to annihilate the forces of the Last City of Earth to pay for the blow dealt to the Cabal forces back on Mars,Phobos and Oryx's Dreadnaught. The battle takes place above the Moon. Both armies battle and destroy each other's ships, halfway through the battle the Primus receives a transmission from the Emperor who orders the crew piloting the Moon Crusher to set a course to Earth, the process is somewhat similar to slipspace or lightspeed, however, this process takes several minutes to perform, in order for the City's forces to stop this, your guardian must fire "Fusion torpedoes" from his/her ship into a weak spot inside the Destroyer's compacitators that control it's engines which would ultimately destroy the ship. (similar to Luke causing the destruction of the Death Star) The problem is, this huge ship is heavily guarded by Interceptors and a couple of Flagships, so the guardian will have to once again use Stealth Tech borrowed from Cayde-6. Once the guardian gets near the Destroyer the stealth tech malfunctions like what happened in TTK, Ghost alerts the fleet of this, and Cayde responds with, " Not that damn stealth tech situation again!" Zavala then encourages the Guardian to move on and push forward. All of a sudden a Fallen Ketch appears smack dab in between both fleets and harbingers spawn from near it's hull and takes out the Flagships and Interceptors, a surprising transmission comes from the ship, It's the Queen of the Awoken and some of the surviving Techeun Witches. She says, " End this Guardian!" ( mind that this idea is similar to when Han Solo came back to help Luke in destroying the Death Star at the last second) The guardian then fires the torpedoes at the Destroyer right as it is about to make a jump to Earth, seconds later, the ship explodes into a shockwave destroying most of the Cabal fleet in it's wake, but it's radius does not reach Zavala's fleet or the Queen's Flagship. The remains of the fleet escape, the Primus had also died in the explosion. In the aftermath of the battle, a great blow was once again struck to the Cabal Empire, the Emperor is now plotting revenge against the City....
