Alright, since some of you aren't getting it, I'll edit this so it's just the basics, since so many of you are complaining about length.
So I played a round of Iron Banner, happy to see that it came back. I played, got to the top of the game, and stayed there to the end. I was sort of proud of how well I did. So I go to the rewards screen, and I get nothing. Two guys that did an alright job got really powerful gear, and some extras. Aside from the rewards guaranteed to the winners (Marks and Sterling Treasure), I got nothing at all.
Now, I know a lot of people don't get it. "What, were you expecting all the rewards? My god, quit whining, you self-absorbed wanker." No, I never said that, I don't know where you're getting that conclusion from.
My problem was that I got literally nothing. I'd have been happy with even a single Strange Coin or a single Mote of Light, or even an Armor Shader that I'd most likely discard. Believe it or not, I'm actually completely content with getting what most would consider crap. My problem is the fact that I got nothing, that the RNG allows such a thing to be a possibility for any unfortunate soul who plays his best and expects maybe a humble reward.
You see, when I go into a game, I expect to have fun and come back with something that doesn't make it feel like a complete waste of time. It wasn't too much fun, and despite the guaranteed rewards, I came back with nothing.
So many of you don't understand that, and I still don't know why. Instead, I get a few mature comments from a few mature people, but then I get the entire Morton Salt Factory dumped on my thread by some of the most toxic people that have ever existed on a single video game.

1 답변Overall I do think the rewards in PVP are not good enough but specifically for the top scorer. As a primarily PVE player I have no idea how a PVP player ever gets enough gear and exp to get to endgame level. I think the over all drop rate should go up. If I go out on patrol with all 6 bounties, will come back in less than an hour with 5-9 blue engrams or items and most of the time on legendary engram. An hour of PVP get me 3-4 rares maybe. Your idea of a strange coin actually might be too much to guarantee as a end of game reward since you could earn 5 or more an hour, but planetary materials or armor materials would not be too bad and could be useful, motes of light might be okay.

22 답변Sorry, I think I put this in the wrong place... I'm going to politely disagree. As a casual with a career and children, I have little time to dedicate to playing this, or any other, game. Why should I not get the same pleasure out of my efforts as you who have the ability to dedicate a significant amount of your time and efforts to this pursuit? If that became the case, I would stop playing and thus the gaming community loses people as well as the companies lose revenue and you lose your games. How do any of us benefit from that kind of elitist thinking on something that is supposed to be fun? Reminds me of why I left gaming and why I left Halo and CoD and became incredibly excited about Destiny. Thankfully, the Destiny community (in general, I've run into my fair share of unpleasantness but its easier to blow off because of the incredible amount of sheer fun and pleasantness I have experienced in a majority of my play) has treated me very well as a new adult player and has been incredibly helpful and supportive of my learning efforts. I can cite specific players (Ravenscar, DaveRocks, EnderKing, DevilzGhost, Precision, SonGoku, LentFeline, UltimExcellence, AfricanQueen, XenthoNinja, WretchedLoki, HisAngel, ObeyPanda, WickedCityWoman, JonathanR, GoldenSword, and MANY others) who have, unlike the CoD and Halo Reach Matchmaking communities, made this journey fun and exciting and something I look forward to doing with the limited amount of 'disposable' time that I have available. I mean, I can make money playing golf on sunday, or I can hang out with Society for Creative Anachronism crowd (and hit my friends there with sticks in my cool helmet and real armour), or I can hit up my dojo/dojang and hit/kick/throw my martial brothers and sisters, or I can play Destiny and have fun with my son and my new gamer friends. I like having that set of options and the last several months, I've chosen Destiny. Mostly so I could play with my son and learn/have fun in the community that he enjoys. I choose to spend my time with the Destiny community not based on the really cool and creative loot (love the names of stuff and the signature comments as a tagline for the weapons and armour) but based on how I am welcomed, helped/taught, and treated in general. Also, the loot rewards as I'm motivated by the shiny Skinner-based behavioral theory based giving of goodies as much as the next mammal. But, the community as well as a decent loot system... yes, indeed... This is what will keep us 'casuals' around. What an insulting term. Mind if I use such an epithet for you? How would that make you want to be involved in building a community and interact with the membership? Without ever getting 'paid' for it (Refer a friend system was unknown to me), I have recruited about 12 people into Destiny based on my excitement and I even use it in my job. You restrict the fun and joy and loot rewards and us casuals will leave for something that allows us to feel included just as much as the "Serious" Players. Back on topic... the random assignment of goodies is not very well done (a VERY, VERY Poor Skinner Box) and no one in the game, especially a tourney of such nature as IB, should ever get straight out gipped like this when they do their level best and decimate and dominate the playing field. We call that, in our little crew, "Getting Precisioned" because we watched Precision devastate and totally OWN EVERYONE for an entire week of IB and ended up with only... 3 Motes of Light! That and nothing else at all in DAYS of over 8 hours of play each day we played for an ENTIRE IB run. Precision hit the top slot EVERY TIME for BOTH teams and .... insert drum roll ... NOTHING! You Got Precisioned! It was amazing to watch this Terrifying and Tumultuous Titan among Guardians CRUSH all who dared step up.... and get NOTHING at ALL. Ok, that sucks. But, we had a dang blast and I learned how to move while shooting (a serious challenge without having ever played an FPS, never playing on a console, and not playing video games in almost 30 years with my last being the Wing Commander series). Nothing compared to that debacle of Skinner Box malfunction as happened to the Mighty Precision. Yes, everyone should get something for being there and fighting... at minimum, a few motes of light (I'd say minimum of three to five as one is a ridiculous option... unbelievable that it can even happen), a couple 3 of Coins, , weapons/armour parts, strange coinS (I mean more than one... seriously?!?!?! ONE?!?!? see Motes of Light comment), or high level rare weapon/armour... something simple but useful guaranteed in the first column. Second column... PURE RNG. But, getting a legendary or exotic engram that's useful, a random legendary -guaranteed exotic or Legendary- drop however the drop itself ain't guaranteed.... Maybe something and maybe nothing. That makes it fair. I can't get many folks to even play IB, and only a couple were willing for Trials, much anymore because the RNG is ridiculous especially since most of us get slaughtered and there's no team selection due to level. Trials was even worse because we got slaughtered out of the gate and we often got straight out ripped off, one lag issue which made no sense wherein we were in orbit for 20+ minutes and had to logout and back in to try again and had a loss credited against us, and even our bounties didn't get credited. And there is no way to discuss it with Bungie, we just get shafted. I even had two items awarded and then disappear on me! And, honestly, sometimes I don't even want to play Crucible ever (other than IB due to my crew) because I don't have ANY chance at winning against experienced players (I'm on my 5th month of playtime on an Xbox/Console ever... I get excited if I get a couple of assists and nearly wet myself if I get ONE kill in a full game.) and then, if I play, I can jam as hard as I can and I get nothing while others, like my buddy Ravenscar, get incredible amounts of multiple Legendary and Exotic engrams in everything/anything we do in the game. Granted, Raven is a beast and earns/deserves his loot. But, if one has no reward for effort, naturally, they will stop playing at all. This is part of your frustration with he Destiny Skinner Box. Working to get nothing and it's routine. It's a psychological phenomenon called Learned Helplessness. In Trials, PVP, IB, PVE, PoE/CoE... nothing but net... profits? How does restricting the loot have any value at all for anyone? I can see special stuff in quest lines to get people in PVE. I prefer PVE to PVP ( I have NO/ZERO Chance in PvP) and care less about crucible unless I'm playing with my new friends. But, even in PVE, the loot table for RNG is pure terrible bad luck. I can't tell you the number of times I have played my butt off in the limited time that I have to put in only to get glimmer and some xp. No engrams, no weapons or armor drops, nothing that says I earned anything for the time I put into playing. Granted, I had a blast with my buddies if we were able to coordinate our time and get together and play. That was great but Icebreaker or something would be nice -grin-. I'm tired of burning through 3 of Coins only to get NOTHING after Shield Brothers or Atheon or Alak Khul (sp?) or (God help me here...) Omingul! Nothing at all. Not a single engram nor mote of light nor strange coin nor weapon nor armour nor legendary mark nor middle finger... just the Sound of Silence. Kind of like someone farted in the elevator. *** A final note on RNG hilarity... Two Days in a row, on Vault of Glass... I took my Hunter day one and my Warlock day two and all I got from both runs was... CHATTER WHITE! Apparently Atheon is a fashion consultant in his spare time... What a Bastard! Ok, them's my 2 cents in this discussion. Take it or leave it. But, remember, us casuals pay the mighty bills so 'Serious, Real Gamers' can play. If we stop playing, it's not going to survive. Same as in a dojo or gym. A majority of folks paying their memberships and kinda training is what keep the doors open for the serious and dedicated folks who have the time, energy, and inclination to work it like that. So treat everyone with respect and dignity so ALL who come can have the Great experience with Destiny I have had and not that horrible, never-gunna-return experience that I had with Call of Duty and Matchmaking in Halo. T'anks for the Memories! Ghost is transmatting me out now. The Snarling Darlin TodaKuroiTora

First Destiny reward system sux in the crucible, but bad old times the whole damn system sucked, ie nightfall, raids etc, pvp is the most unrewarding experience in destiny unless you play trials of osiris AND thats where the pvp part of the game gets at its worst and controvertial part Second Bungie's forums are the recruitment office for the moron-mother-blam!-er-salt-company, so the results of your thread are standard for the forum

1 답변I wish the reward system can go back to HoW. I'm not sure about you guys, but every time I won a match some one got a legendary. I got legendary weapons at least 70% of the time I won back then. Now I could get top overall score and not get anything yet the guy who did the worst gets a god roll Eyasluna. Plus there were so many legendary weapons during HoW there was actual diversity in weapons back then.

3 답변I swear there's a "you're getting your ass kicked but thanks for sticking it out through the match" component to the loot algorithm.

16 답변작성자: celeb2112 7/20/2016 9:56:48 PMMy simple suggestion...stop expecting something and recognize that match rewards are rng based, not performance based... Everyone plays for a chance at loot...not a guarantee. And you did get something...it's called a medal.

2 답변I can agree there should be no such thing as no reward, ultimately no doubt the developers would rather there be no rewards to keep u grinding for something. It's clear the loot tables are not right
-
1 답변I noticed quite a bit (at least half) of my rewards in any game mode don't show up or show as nothing until I physically make it to orbit. Then it's like bam bam bam rewards slapping me in the face even if it's just a measly mote of light.
-
2 답변I completely agree with that point: Everyone, without exception should receive a reward for participating in the match. The type and value of that reward would still be RNG based.
-
2 답변I agree/disagree with this... The agree is because I too was actually kinda down on rng luck and even though some matches i may feel like did epic or great, i didnt get a drop or nothing to go with the side of this feat... Now for the disagreeing part.... I say this because lets say that some red bar or a cheater was the one who was in first or high MVP of the match...should he get the stuff? Should he get loot? Some or all of us will say no but if we did what most want which is fix the reward system.... the reward system will give him it cuz yeah he was first and all.... So yeah....thats my take on this.

1 답변Which major multiplayer titles with team based activities work the way you want? WoW top performer in interrupts, DPS, heals doesn't even gaurentee a drop for that class. LoL key fragments RNG just have to be on winning team for a chance place doesn't increase chance.

out of about 25 IB games, maybe more. . I have gotten 7 gauntlets and one nirwens mercy with a crap roll. I wish they would fix the drop system from ranking up factions as well. I want weapons.. I want to be able to select what I want. Kind of lame its 99% armor most of the time.

1 답변I came at the bottom of my team when playing with friends due to using NLB and sidearm (did so bad) and I got a Weyloran's March with Shortgaze, quickdraw and one man army(I think that's the name, quick unassisted kills give bonus melee and grenade energy?) So yeah, I guess the reward system could be reworked but RNG is what it is, just that it's not satisfactory like getting rewards in year 1. Gjallahorn reactions were the best.
-
1 답변I think it is wrong to only award top player or only top 3. Maybe in rumble, that would be ok. But if the team wins, everyone on the team should be awarded similar rewards. Not just the bottom, mid, or top getting the good stuff
-
1 답변Ultimately, I'd rather be the guy on top of the leader board than the guy that gets the good loot. Both would be nice, but I'd rather finish at the top.

1 답변작성자: evomichel 7/20/2016 2:06:02 PMYesterday, someone in the last position (not IB though) got a Eyasluna with Range finder and hidden hand. Dunno about the middle perks, but if it had smallbore or rifled barrel that would be my god roll.
-
Ok I agree in principal. I think the rng should stay but if ya finish top then something for that features is in order. Even if it's just 5 strange coins. Also the rewards for getting to level 3 and 5 in IB totally sucks come on bungie even if ya feckin brilliant ya still have to devote hours to getting to that level only to be rewarded with a 280 level bloody gun do me a favour at least award it at the maximum light and make it worth grinding for. My reward this week for the crucible bounty was a 335 Mida and yet when I get to level 5 on any of my guardians I know I'm gonna get garbage

5 답변You think that's bad? Let me tell you about the time we carried a team to victory with 6 caps and 34 kills and 5 deaths and the guy on the team with a .6 K/D and 1 cap got a Hawkmoon. The salt flowed for weeks.
