Package RNG can't be this bad
Hello destiny community, how's it going. I'm going to cut straight to the point here, I have gotten to a point at which I can no longer believe that I am just unlucky, or RNGesus is against me. I am not sure of the numbers exactly so I will give an approximation of how many packages I have opened, about 30-40 vanguard packages, and probably close to 80-90 crucible packages. I have yet to receive either a Longbow Synthesis, or an LDR 5001 from either, I have not even received a Zombie Apocalypse for that matter. There is a 1 in 22 chance in both the vanguard and crucible packages to get an LDR or Longbow. I gave up hope a long time ago but I can't believe that my RNG is that bad, curious if anyone else has this issue, or better yet if bungie can clarify if any of the guaranteed rewards have a greater drop rate because I swear It feels like I have gotten more armor pieces from packages then I have anywhere else.
Thanks for giving me your time, let me know if any of you are having this issue.
P.S. Please do not reply saying you have gotten "so many it's gotten annoying" or that "you have a bunch, but none have good rolls," that will only make people angry.

1 답변I'm rank 104 on Hunter 58 on warlock And 47 on Titan Warlock and Titan were rank 6 or below and Hunter was 18 before April I've gotten 5 longbows (3 really good rolls), but not a single damn lord high fixer

11 답변I think I'm over 100 crucible ranks, if it is equal it should be at least 4 longbows but nah just wont drop.

To take it one step further what about an option to somewhat inform the game of your play style? If you enjoy shotgun rushing you can select that and shotguns will have a greater chance of dropping, armor with shotgun perks will drop more, just give us more options and we will be happy bungie! Please.

5 답변If I get another Long Far Gone, mark of the 9 pillars, or spektar infinite lines chest on my Titan, I might kill somebody. And not to mention I've gotten 9 LDRs. NINE. Why? I know people who would kill to have an LDR.

I'm constantly levelling up my dead orbit and fwc rank so I can get the spektar helm/chest and spektar grips respectively, but I usually get DO grips and fwc helm/chest I also noticed you get an armor in 1 package and a weapon in the next

10 답변Same here. I haven't ranked up nearly as much as you. Maybe half as much. I've only recieved one LDR since April and it wasn't from a vanguard package. It had bad scopes anyway.

Shaxx gives me Titan marks and helmets. All I want are weapons. Or strange coins from the weekly. Last 4 packages: 3 strange coins and 1 "in times of need" New monarchy gives me marks and weapons. All I want from [i]them[/i] is armor

I know this is slightly off topic but; I am sick and tired of getting Shiity blue engrams every time I level up the Cryprach. 99% of the time his faction rewards turn into loot that is less valuable than the stuff I'm bringing to him to decrypt. I thought faction rewards were supposed to be [i][b]rewarding[/b][/i].

27 답변People in this game complain about rng all the time but seem to have little understanding of probablity. Using your numbers: You have a 1 in 22 chanve to get your weapon. This does not mean you are likely to get it in 22 packages. For example, if you flip a coin twice and the first is heads, the second is not more likely to be tails. This is why people lose gambling. The probability in these cases does not stack. It resets every single time. The second has a 50% chance to indeed be tails, or a 50% chance to fall as heads again. The same is true with your packages. They don't stack because bungie uses a random number generator. Just like flipping a coin. But, when you add more than two outcomes its chances plummet. It is just as probable to flip 10 heads in a row as it is to flip an even split of heads and tails. With your weapon, you have a 1 in 22 chance with every package. That means you are just as likely to get two of the same weapons on packages 1 and 2 as you are to get the weapon that you want. Tldr; every time you collect a package there is a 4.5% chance to get your longbow. You are not more likely to get it on package 22 if you hadn't on the 21 prior. Infact, you also have the same probablity of getting a repeat armor or weapon

This system of stick and carrot is frustrating at it's most generous, but I can sympathise with those who have such a bad run of RNG that it seems worse than broken. I've struggled with RNG really bad since the April update. Only thing I want is the Soulstealer's Claw and Comitatus ship. I'm constantly denied.

11 답변작성자: Lady 7/18/2016 5:19:20 PMIt feels like Y1 grind all over again. Armor shouldn't be rewarded from Crucible/Vanguard packages. Leave that to the factions. I'm so tired of getting class items and armor pieces when I've grinded the same boring strikes over and over.
