All exotics should be obtained through difficult quests
Self explanatory. Honestly, I don't like how easy it is for me to get an exotic weapon or armor. I wanna work for my stuff so I can feel some sense of gaming accomplishment when I get it. Like with the exotic sword or sleeper simulant. Those were quests that made you feel happy that you did. Those exotics feel exotic for that reason. Three of coins honestly ruined exotics. At this point, we just using them to collect the exotics we don't have cause it's just that easy quite frankly.
EDIT: some ppl saying "they're shit/mediocre anyway, why give them difficult quest lines" Because if you give them difficult quest lines, we wouldn't see so much ppl with them & noobs crying for a nerf on a EXOTIC. Like exotics are supposed to be over the top...it's a -blam!-ing exotic lmfao.

I disagree. Year 2 didn't have nearly the same amount of excitement in getting drops that year 1 did. Hunting week after week for Ghally or Hawkmoon by playing raids or nightfalls was immensely fun and when you finally got that drop, very satisfying. It did lead to elitism in some groups where they needed people to have certain guns to play, but those people were bad people anyways. The excitement of finally getting that drop that you wanted outweighed the terrible people out there.

1 답변Y1 had it right. Legendary gear was MUCH HARDER to obtain in Y1, and exotics were only obtainable through engram luck, Xur, Nightfall, and raids. Y2 has really cheapened the value of exotics, which has also given them the excuse to tune them down so they are less than impressive and fun.

8 답변I've been asking for this for a long time. Like some exotics should only be obtainable for one day only. If you miss the day you will never be able to get it.

Sleep Stimulant was a waste along with No Time to Explain imo. And making them harder to get wouldn't stop the complaints man. There'd still be daily salt showers lol

Eyasluna way better than any handcannon...maybe last word is better I guess... Doctrine or Soulstealers claw way better than any exotic auto...n what the hell were the devs thinking w Fabian strategy lol... Suros 45 n hawksaw n grasp way better than any exotic pulse Mida and talok are only exotics prob better but suros dis 47 w full auto n max stability might b as good or suros dis 47 w oversized rounds might b as good too... They need to buff exotics especially Fabian strategy

If it's to easy for you don't use 3OC, don't do any nightfall strikes or raids. simply play crucible and normal strikes for that hard exotic drop. Those quest did not make me happy, the stimulant was not satisfying, the swords were unneeded waste of time. Those exotics feel "exotic" because they are designed differently and have a certain perk attached. If I can already uppercut or shoot arc swings from my legendary swords trust me I wouldn't be doing those quests. If your asking for exotics bounties then yes those were satisfying.

While I agree we need more quests and all that to a quite specific exotics. Your assertion,that exotics are supposed to be over powered couldn't be more wrong. An exotic is meant to excel in one situation above all else, which many of them do, but many are also garbage. Who wants to do a long tedious quest for hereafter? No one. With the carrying phenomenon we seem to be seeing, exotics wouldn't be rare to see as you seem to assume, hell I've carried 2 people who were technically underleveled to get black spindle many times, completing the mission with 2 or 3 minutes left and me doing every ounce of damage to the boss.

That's a horrible idea. You wanna "earn" guns? Go play call of duty and earn some supply drops. Even though destiny's RNG may be shit, it's what makes the game phenomenal. If anything, they need to add more rng and less three of coins
