Forgot how good patrolling was...
Literally all I've got left where PvE Grimoire is concerned is sidearm kills and VIP patrol missions.
For about two hours I was going in and out of Cosmodrome finding all those beacons with the little star on them. I'm beta/day one player and popping in on all them old areas was brilliant.
Helping people out with the Taken that spawn. Public Events; Devil Walker, Extraction Crews etc... Even killing the "Servant" Acolytes and triggering a Dark Below mini event. Taking that route through The Grottos cave and emerging at Forgotten Shore, sidearming everything along the way!
The nostalgia was real...
Update edit... VIP kills and sidearms done! Loved reading the replies you lot left. Lots of love for good ol' patrolling :)

3 답변I do miss the PvE side of this game. It's become much more PvP than it originally was. Patrolling needs a serious update, and I think they need to mix it up every 3 months to keep it fresh.

Met a hunter on Mars who was AFK on his sparrow. Pulled right up next to him and waited for him to come back. He honked his horn, and I did the same with a quick salute. We then proceeded to race around the canyon, SRL style, pulling tricks and spins everywhere we could. We didn't pay attention so we ended up running right into a mob where the enemy moved against each other. Neither one of us got off our sparrow. Instead we just kept running full speed into the fray like we were bowling until they retreated. Afterwards we ran full speed into a nearby cliff and jumped off our sparrows at the last second, watching them explode. We then waved to each other and went to orbit. Good times.

1 답변Yep. The cosmodrome is especially nice because you can use any gun, and no HUD is an awesome experience

2 답변작성자: What I Look Like 7/17/2016 1:44:22 PMPatrol is the best, it can go from casual to hectic really fast hah. You should go and turn your hud off! It'll make doing missions, even finding them, a chore. It's worth it though, really shows off how nice the game looks. And if you know your way around you don't necesarily need the hud to find certain mission way points.

I patrol everywhere, and love it. The patrols are worth 250 glimmer each, and you can get sublimes/legendaries from majors and ultras, farm ultras with 3oC, find new ways to break out of the map barrrier and explore the outside of the world (some reeeeally sweet views out there), farm public events for motes, and as you said help out our younger guardians. It's also good practice for testing new weapons. Dreadnaught's my favorite for farming sublimes and legendaries though. I can fill my inventory with engrams and glimmer consumables/cryptarch glimmer items with ease.

1 답변Enemy moves against each other at Skywatch is a blast. Sometimes (actually more often than not) the taken arrive as well as our usual super yellow bar knight. Played with my grenade kills set up for Coe which involves Nothing Manacles. Sometimes you have fire team rolling through from the omnigul strike who stop and join which makes it more manageable.

I usually roam a planet for a little while whenever I play. It's nice to take a "break" so to speak from some of the activities near our levels and just look at the scenery and other stuff. Like others have said, it is also fun to pull out some of our old year one favorites and use them. I still love Gjally...

2 답변patrolling is one of my favorite activities... about the best way possible to farm glimmer and exp quickly... not bad at all for rep either.
