After acquiring all 3 exotic swords in 1 month here is my takeaway.
1. Acquiring the materials is a stupid grind.
- I get it, you're trying to stretch out the content but damn guys. I shouldn’t have to farm 150-250 materials to get 10 materials I need to move on. This was no fun and kinda killed the experience for me. Which is why I waited so long to complete it.
> if you do this again fix the system so I get a mat every 2-3 nodes.
2. Killing the warden and dark blade within 30 seconds.
- holy shit! This is broken! How come the quest will recognize I killed the warden but doesn't recognize I killed the dark blade in the same instance. So now I have to play the whole goddamn thing twice, or 3 times, just to finish the quest = dumb
> don't put a time limit on when I have to kill the boss, just let me kill him and move the fack on.
3. Wait for arms day materials?
- seriously?! WTF did I collect all of these materials for

4. No more crazy long quest lines
- I love long quests, I liked the SS quest, the BG quest, but these sword quests are dumb.

Wow, thanks everyone for your responses and sharing your thoughts, we were on the Trending page for a couple days, pretty rad. Time for some follow ups:
Gathering Materials:
- Some of you disagreed that this was a chore, you actually enjoyed it. I don't mind farming materials, but getting the special materials needed shouldn't be so spread out. Again, every 2-3 nodes should drop what you're looking for.
Are they worth it?
- Yes, if you havent tried to get one yet, I recommend that you do. If you only have 1 definitely go out and get the other 2. They are very fun to use and very powerful. Also, each one has its own special perks and attributes, which makes each one feel unique.
Long quest lines:
- I also love longer quest lines. I thought the SS and BG quest lines were fantastic and really enjoyed that it felt like I was working towards something. However, my complaint is filling quests with "busy work" to make them feel more in depth than they actually are. I think some of the steps in the sword quests could be evaluated and improved for future quests. I.E. no more busy work - make the steps fun.

3 답변That wasn't farming...ha...when the Game came out u had to farm on patrol all day long just to upgrade ur guns and material... none of this note spamming.... these y2 guys have no clue

I've been playing since Year 1, day 1 and these sword quests are pretty ridiculous. The early year 1 stuff was a pain to upgrade as well, but the materials search was probably the most painful thing I've done in Destiny since I started playing. I had to take a couple of weeks off after those quests...

2 답변Back in my day we had to farm for materials If we wanted to upgrade gear. Uphill both ways, in the snow.

3 답변Got all 3 of mine in the same strike, had to kill all 3 knights within 30 seconds of the boss. Tether and 2 other friends had the solar sword to help me with the finish. The worst part was grinding all those mats... uggh

9 답변the only sword that feels exotic and is actually useful is the solar razors edge sword. The other 2 are scrubby.

3 답변I found getting the solar exotic to be the one with the biggest grind. Just getting the materials that is. The other two were not really that much of a grind for me.

What they should of done was just give you the option to skip the quest completely and just receive the rewards. Then we could reading how it was too easy and no back ground to it at all. I have all 3 and each one are my favorite part of year 2. Material farming is easy takes hardly zero effort and if you would of done it when the quests first came out you could of picked up bounties and ran gear that needed to be leveled up. Also when the taken spawns drop a three of coins and have a shot at an exotic. Public events are also a good way to get motes and level up. My point being when the quests came out it was very helpful to run it just like it was. Unfortunately you limited the content for yourself.

4 답변Your obviously haven't been playing since Y1. I remember spending hours straight gathering Relic Iron and Spinmetal. It was much easier now with the ghosts then show resources
