1. Acquiring the materials is a stupid grind.
- I get it, you're trying to stretch out the content but damn guys. I shouldn’t have to farm 150-250 materials to get 10 materials I need to move on. This was no fun and kinda killed the experience for me. Which is why I waited so long to complete it.
> if you do this again fix the system so I get a mat every 2-3 nodes.
2. Killing the warden and dark blade within 30 seconds.
- holy shit! This is broken! How come the quest will recognize I killed the warden but doesn't recognize I killed the dark blade in the same instance. So now I have to play the whole goddamn thing twice, or 3 times, just to finish the quest = dumb
> don't put a time limit on when I have to kill the boss, just let me kill him and move the fack on.
3. Wait for arms day materials?
- seriously?! WTF did I collect all of these materials for
> no more, goddamn guys you know this shit is stupid
4. No more crazy long quest lines
- I love long quests, I liked the SS quest, the BG quest, but these sword quests are dumb.
> make it more enjoyable for us, less than a grind and more of an adventure.
==== tequila fueled rant over, feedback follow ups below ====
Edit 1:
Wow, thanks everyone for your responses and sharing your thoughts, we were on the Trending page for a couple days, pretty rad. Time for some follow ups:
Gathering Materials:
- Some of you disagreed that this was a chore, you actually enjoyed it. I don't mind farming materials, but getting the special materials needed shouldn't be so spread out. Again, every 2-3 nodes should drop what you're looking for.
Are they worth it?
- Yes, if you havent tried to get one yet, I recommend that you do. If you only have 1 definitely go out and get the other 2. They are very fun to use and very powerful. Also, each one has its own special perks and attributes, which makes each one feel unique.
Long quest lines:
- I also love longer quest lines. I thought the SS and BG quest lines were fantastic and really enjoyed that it felt like I was working towards something. However, my complaint is filling quests with "busy work" to make them feel more in depth than they actually are. I think some of the steps in the sword quests could be evaluated and improved for future quests. I.E. no more busy work - make the steps fun.
Keep the feedback coming!

2 답변Only one worth doing was raze lighter. PvE wise, I don't see the need for the other two.
I have all 3, though.
1 답변quest line is to keep people entertained (not saying it did) but thats why they did it. I had the warden checked but not alak hul. This is because you must kill the warden first. Thats the only way it can happen so its not a glitch. I agree that the material grind is stupid. The most fun was running around in the crucible smacking people in the noggin for the 25 guardian kills.

작성자: MidknightRooster 7/19/2016 2:21:37 PMI did enjoy the material gathering (got to know Mars ALOT better lol) and thankfully it was only 10. I think if it was more, then I'd be annoyed. I was annoyed with the whole 'real time' part where after that mat grind, I HAVE to wait a week for arms day. That annoyed me. The nightfall part was annoying at first because people are dumber than toast and kill all the wardens right away. That being said, I was FINALLY rewarded with a couple randoms who knew what they were doing and knew how to communicate and we got all 3 swords in one go! (Even got those calcium fragments I had no idea about lol)

6 답변The only thing that pains me is the 25 crucible kills since drops only once in a match:(

21 답변That's cute, you think farming hundreds of planetary materials is a grind.
Where are my year 1 veterans that used farming routes?

Ok that's it for now. And apologies if this sounds retarded, I'm 3 rounds deep into 2 for 1 margaritas
I was going to give you some kind of criticism, but that caught my attention. I now have no criticism. I'm too drunk anyway.

1 답변I remember getting some nice loot in VoG, then having to spend all night farming planetary materials afterward in order to level it up in time for the following week.

2 답변Hey everyone. Helpful hint for sword quest. If you finish it on one charter go and buy the other 2 swords on a diffeent one. Then on the character that did the quest infuse the swords and upgrade it. Log out of your character and log back in and go to shaxx. You can skip hadium flakes and crucible kills and go straight to the actual materials. This saves a good 2 to 3 hours.

2 답변You forgot to say whether or not the swords were actually worth it. In my opinion, they are.

2 답변Got all 3 on the first week of TTK. OH, the knowledge of farm routes from year 1 still served me well....

5 답변Try playing WoW during its first 3 years XD This grind is nothing compared to what Vanilla WoW used to be. Everyone bitches about the grind. Half of you probably don't know what a grind is. Be extremely happy this is all you had to do for 3 swords. It could have been a lot worse.

When you need to kill a specific warden and dark blade within a certain amount of time AND you have matchmaking is incredibly annoying. Maybe this is why the raid doesn't have match making. I wish I could do this solo instead... I haven't gotten the raze-lighter or the dark drinker because of this...

I got all 3 swords at once, you have to kill them within 30 sec of each other, not just the same instance. Crucible kills are kind of redundant Material farming part is fine but kills take way too long, I got them done quick bc I was lucky and got the enemy is moving against each other on earth and used arc blade with mask of the third man and I think showstopper

6 답변Can someone answer me this about the sword quests? Do I have to be the one to kill the knight AND Aluk Hul during the strike?
