I have seen many Shoulder Charge nerf posts with people claiming that Shoulder Charge is overpowered. But I will give a few reasons for why it isn't.
1. Despite what you might think, there is a cooldown for Shoulder Charge of 3 or more seconds which is only applied when sprinting which can actually be very inconsistent and last much longer than that time.
2. Shoulder Charge can easily be countered by using any weapon, mainly being Handcannons, Auto Rifles, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, and Sidearms. Just shoot the guy that is running towards you basically.
3. If someone wants to Shoulder Charge you, they will have to commit to it and are generally very exposed which allows you to do the above mentioned tactic. And if they undercompensate the Shoudercharge, they will be even more exposed because there is a delay in movement.
4. Shoulder Charge does not one hit kill everything unless they are using Peregrine Greaves which are very rare. Shoulder Charge can be survivied by max armor Strikers, Defenders, and Ramlocks. It is however unfortunate that Hunters don't currently have a way of reaching max armor, but their mobility helps them greatly in dodging Shoulder Charges.
5. Using Shoulder Charge prevents you from using Juggernaut and Unstoppable whoch are two other neutral game options that are arguably better than Shoulder Charge, since they are much more consistent and more difficult to counter. Not to mention that they significantly increase survivability versus the reckless Shoulder Charge which can get you killed more than you get kills with it. (And using the Eternal Warrior exotic helmet does not give the +2 armor so it is useless for neutral game).
Edit: I know that Shoulder Charge can be frustrating to play against but anything can be frustrating to play agianst. Even Telesto. It isn't the ability or weapon that is overpowered, it is the player.
Firebolts have been nerfed because of Frustration.
Tripmines and Throwing Knives have been nerfed for the same reason.
But we shouldn't let the same happen for Shoulder Charge.
Edit: Instead of nerfing Shoulder Charge we should just restore the Hunters and Warlocks to what they were pre-June update. Nobody likes the recent changes and it was stupid to nerf them anyways.

Shoulder charge is a perk that allows you to mostly one shot someone, however there are risks in doing so. Firstly once you've committed to shoulder charge you can't exactly stop it unless you are highly skilled and intentionally lure people into it. Quite often people will moan about shoulder charge because it's an "easy" way to win an engagement. However, from experience this is not the case, most of the times you won't hit someone or you will die trying. It is a high risk low reward ability, where something like juggernaut allows you to sprint head on at you're target and literally tank every thing they throw at you. Quite often people back off from a shoulder charging titan and yes this does help but more often than not you can jump over them and they are stuck shoulder charging the air and you can then clean up the kill. So basically Shoulder charge is not over powered in any way.

2 답변I agree with your last part kind off. Shoulder charge shouldn't be nerfed for the same reason hunters and warlocks but what do you suggest? Buff hunters and warlocks back to how they was? Then everyone will cry again. Unfortunately it's one way or the other.

1 답변Yo need to refamiliarize urself with a primary weapon again lol. All people do in crucible these days is rely on special weapons, shoulder charge and sticky grenades. They have a sliver and are about to die they throw a panick sticky at you and run away. They live but you die. Its the gayest playstyle ever. I was raging because i kept running into a warlock using fusion grenades. All classes have stickies not singling out any1 but its annoying as hell when people rely on them too much. It sticks to u and kills u in one hit with full.shield and health.

3 답변Gtfo here with yo bullshit. There should be a post on why people shouldnt be allowed to make biased threads.

3 답변Shoulder charge is completely over powered. It's a one hit kill to anything other then supered guardians. It's available from the very start of the game. I can literally do nothing but shoulder charge the entire game and still lead my team in kills

1 답변Shoulder charge seems fine to me, but dayum Titans can not be killed while casting fist of havoc, even without unstoppable perk.

12 답변A couple things u are not mentioning.... 1. Shoulder charge can turn 90 degrees around corners 2. No clear indication that someone is about to charge u until its to late 3. Due to this games connection bs the animation doesnt even show up properly half the time.... 4. Finally unless u teamshoot or have a shotgun out theres no way to gun down a shoulder charge especially with the lag...

4 답변Sniper hate it so Bungie will nerf it along with skating. Personally I have zero issue with it because it is the same since day1.

It shouldn't be able to one hit you if you jump, it shouldn't be able to work through obstacles or while you are in blink. If you get caught hardscoping fine, or camping around a corner, fine. It's aim assist is stupid, and I'm convinced Stevie Wonder could get a few shoulder charge kills a match.

Maybe we should call for juggernaut and unstoppable to be nerfed 😏

4 답변작성자: Chubbums 7/9/2016 9:32:30 AMFunny how the people crying about shoulder charge can't compile a video dominating a game using only shoulder charge. You can run your mouth all day about SC but unless you can show me a video where you go up against sweaty players and end up with a high k/d and kill streak, you can't call it OP for shit. Being able to SC idiot scrubs who use slow ROF autos on you as you're barreling towards them is not difficult, and does not make SC op. If the team you're up against is too stupid or too tryhardish to unequip their snipers for a shotgun, sidearm or fast firing fusion than that's their own dam fault for getting rekt by it.

2 답변Doesn't matter. Bungie is still gonna nerf it. They have no backbone to just say "no". They'll soon throw Strikers under the bus like they've been doing with the other subclasses just to appease all the PvP addicts.

I don't know about quicker than three seconds. I've run a Striker main practically since day 1. And SC is not overpowered. In PvE on patrol sure it does its thing but it's not as if you will use it anywhere outside of patrol unless it's to dodge out of the line of fire. In PvP sure, it is great on maps with tight corridors like The Drifter or Paradox where you can sprint and look for unsuspecting targets. On more open maps it's either targets of opportunity or flanking kills but bull rushing just doesn't end well. But there it is. It's a attack of opportunity. Watch your radar try to flank and catch your enemy from behind or from their blind spot. Then finish with a melee if required. If there is a group then more times than not you trade. Or you can round a corner come face to face with a enemy and depending on whose is quicker get a kill or die to a shotgun in the face. Or just straight up miss. Because contrary to popular opinion SC DOES NOT TRACK, and letting off even a little on the movement stick will drop you out of your sprint. I get players frustrations with getting bounced by a SC. it's happened to me and it comes right out of the blue usually. No warning, nothing, just splat. Then again it's also frustrating to get killed by a Thunder Strike from across a room or getting Arc Blade when jumping from a Hunter because God damn you cannot get away fast enough, high enough to escape that. Or sticky grenades or Nova Bombs or a FoH or Ramlocks or that god damn self Rez, didn't I just kill that bastard. Lol. It's a game. You can't win them all and getting upset about losing to this gun or that ability is vanity and a unhealthy preoccupation with K/D. Will SC get nerfed? I doubt it. The recently published graph from the hunter castration (because that's exactly what it was) shows Strikers right at bungles magical 1 to 1 K/D line. So by their own accounting then Strikers SC included are in a good place and are safe from further tinkering. BUT and this a big BUT Bungie has proven time and again that we are all victims to their arbitrary and wanton need to wreck whatever they see fit to in the name of balance.

If someone thinks shoulder charge is OP, they're hard scoping too much. If I'm carrying a shot gun, there is a 1 in 10 chance a Titan is gonna successfully shoulder charge me. Any Titan that defies those odds is a skilled player. I'm a warlock main. Shoulder charge is the only reason I ever play titan
