Ways you can help reduce lag (PS4)
Hey everyone, I've noticed that a lot of players don't know much about "PS4 Hygiene." I find if you're having bad lag that performing a few actions can help it. These measures are not a cure all, but it does help.
- Rebuild your database often (Google it)
- Cycle PS4 cache by powering off the PlayStation and UNPLUG IT for at least 5 mins
- Clear your "trash" manually. This step sux. If you go into your notifications menu and look under each subsection you'll find all kinds of crap. Clear notifications, invites, downloads, uploads, and so on.
Hopefully this will help some of you guys. It helps me and maybe we'll all have a better experience.
EDIT: Some people believe these steps will not help you. That's fine, but these measures CANNOT HURT you. They do indeed help, but if you don't want to do your part to reduce lag where you can, let's not hear your complaints either. See below

Step six: Profit to some extent Step seven: Realize it hardly works due to SBMM matching you against xxJoseTequilax_ or BrazilianBeast991. Don't get me started on KingAhmad8 On a more serious note, TL;DR: Wiring your ps4 via Ethernet cable will help you. However, all these steps to reduce lag will only do so much due to Skill based matchmaking pairing you with people from other countries. Maybe Xian Li's internet is really fast, but if he lives halfway across the world it won't matter

18 답변Get Xfinity Internet Plus 25, up to 75mbps download speed. Hard wire your PS4 to the modem. Perfect connection every time no matter who is or how many is using wifi. :-)

2 답변With what many folks attribute to lag, these steps will not help that. These would help the system run smoother, but the lag in Crucible has more to do with everyone's connections and whomever is the host of a particular match.

10 답변Don't blame the wide spread well documented lag of Destiny on people not "clearing out their trash". SBMM is the cause of the lag and it's bungie issue to fix. Not ours. Don't trivialize the huge glaring issues of this game.
