So I got reported today in trials...
I was doing a double carry like I usually do in the weekends, I saw we matched against some guys (never played against them before) and while we were flying in one of them sent me a message "nice lag switch" We were all green barring at that moment and the whole game, no lag at all.
After we won them 5-0 one of them sent me a message "reported"
After last weekend my reputation on XB1 lowered after double trials carries, even though I did not teabag, I did not send them any messages, only played the game like how it's supposed to.
Couple of people on my friendlist who all are highly skilled have also gotten their reputation to go down, just because people get salty after they lose and report them.
Always blaming the other team for "cheating" or "lagswitching" most people dont even know what lag switch is...
This really isnt problem until your rep goes down to a "avoid this player" it makes impossible to find a game in crucible, I saw this happen to two of my french friends on XB1 and well they both mainly play pvp so it sucked for them not being able to play it for a while (there's a way to get past that luckily)
But yeah don't be a dick and report every good player that dominates you. Also got a message from enforcement.xbox.com that said I have been reported so many times my gamertag got investigated but since I had done nothing wrong they did not take any action ♡ (though my rep went down from all the negative feedback)
Has anyone here ever reported anyone for being highly skilled? (Positive reporting)
Edit: if someone is really good and nice to you remember to report them for being friendly or highly skilled, it appears that they get gifts and stuff from postmaster if they get enough positive feedback :)

You can check enforcement.xbox.com to check your rep and see what people REALLY report you for. I've had 20+ cheater reports and 7 unsporting reports. ( aka the I'm salty but I don't think you're a cheater, so you're reported. ) Usually you just have to sit it out. I ended up having to play BF4 entirely on a different account to avoid the reports. Hope that doesn't end up being the case for you. :p

I havent personally reported for high skill. Salt and unsporting conduct, for sure. You don't need to taunt after every headshot, or teabag when you get a kill while shotgun camping. Ive actually shoulder charged a lot of salty children lately that've been doing that. Now, being reported for being skilled...I feel you. I used to invade all the time in Dark Souls 1 and 2. So much in 2 on the 360, that some whiny kid got me banned from onlone, because I kept killing him. It sucks, but so long as you havent actually done anything, you'll be OK

1 답변How the hell are we supposed to know the difference between a red bar that's lacking and somebody that is cheating on purpose? If a person has a yellow or red bar and they're winning everyone assumes they're a cheater and they get reported.

2 답변So I am trying not to make this a console war, but after switching from Xbox 360 to PS4, I have to admit I rarely receive any negative reactions from salty players. Hell, the few situations I know of where people had back & forths on the messenger they became friends after all the shit talk. I may just be getting lucky and I'm not good enough to carry in trials to warrant hate, it just feels like there is less overall negativity compared to when I played halo way back when.

I don't think you will get anything at the postmaster. All I've ever recieved was an in game message saying thank you and something about teamwork and positive attitude that guardians have recognized that in me keep being awesome.

Yeah it happens every now and then for me as well. Especially before the Dec update with a full SBMM. Before the dec SBMM, I used to dominate players and got hate messages and reported all the time. Yeah your rep goes down, but oh well. The saltiness is strong in this game.
