I was doing a double carry like I usually do in the weekends, I saw we matched against some guys (never played against them before) and while we were flying in one of them sent me a message "nice lag switch" We were all green barring at that moment and the whole game, no lag at all.
After we won them 5-0 one of them sent me a message "reported"
After last weekend my reputation on XB1 lowered after double trials carries, even though I did not teabag, I did not send them any messages, only played the game like how it's supposed to.
Couple of people on my friendlist who all are highly skilled have also gotten their reputation to go down, just because people get salty after they lose and report them.
Always blaming the other team for "cheating" or "lagswitching" most people dont even know what lag switch is...
This really isnt problem until your rep goes down to a "avoid this player" it makes impossible to find a game in crucible, I saw this happen to two of my french friends on XB1 and well they both mainly play pvp so it sucked for them not being able to play it for a while (there's a way to get past that luckily)
But yeah don't be a dick and report every good player that dominates you. Also got a message from enforcement.xbox.com that said I have been reported so many times my gamertag got investigated but since I had done nothing wrong they did not take any action ♡ (though my rep went down from all the negative feedback)
Has anyone here ever reported anyone for being highly skilled? (Positive reporting)
Edit: if someone is really good and nice to you remember to report them for being friendly or highly skilled, it appears that they get gifts and stuff from postmaster if they get enough positive feedback :)

2 답변HOW? HOW? TEACH ME. Holy fucking shit dude, how is your KD so high? I mean, I'm average on a bad day, slightly above average on a good, and have made the occasional god clutch, but you.... Holy shit. Somebody else said you stream? What's your twitch name so I can favorite (and eventually subscribe if your partnered)? I want to know what you do. Holy shit....

6 답변I report my friends for being highly skilled, friendly, helpful. I report laggers for Cheating and Bad Connection. Period. This is Bungie's problem, so i'll let them sort out the difference, but:. if you are streaming double carries or single carries or whatever---> i really don't care. If i perceive you to be lagging, you get reported. If you are in a fireteam with someone lagging, you get reported. If you want to tie your donkey to randoms with shit connections just so you can get sub donations, you get reported. Simple. You have no reputation, in my eyes. You either lag or you don't. And your green bar means nothing. Deal with it.

1 답변I just wish they made it so players who have already been flawless cant play trials again that way all the people doing carries and what not would be stopped. Or force them to go flawless maybe once at the end of the week.

3 답변Do people actually take their Xbox rep seriously? Mine is negative as hell and I hardly ever play online multiplayer. Go figure.

Very similar things would happen Dark Souls 1/2 when you'd PvP. That whole rating system on Xbox ( haven't been on my Xbox in quite awhile so I don't remember how it all works ) would get you down voted to hell just from you playing the game normally. No matter what people will never be happy about losing.

3 답변Is there a way to get away from "avoid me status" and get a good rep again? (not that I have an "avoid me status".)

You sure those people didn't recognize your name going in? I noticed a poster on your topic mentioned your in the top 20. Maybe that shitbag knew you and was jealous or he was one of those rage babies that can't handle a good stomping now and again. Just keep kicking ass and do your thing!

1 답변So this is just an Xbox one problem I'm guessing cuz I don't see any references to PS4 and having this happening?

Well if they click avoid player then your score will go down, that's not a report, that's really a personal judgement. That's how the rep works, if Xbox took action on a report you would know. What's happened is a lot of players have clicked avoid, just get your friends to click the other one, can't remember what it is.

Just part of the millennial generation my friend. Parents always telling them they're special playing sports were everyone is a winner. So when the actually do lose, they can't handle and respond in the most immature way possible. I guess that would the down side of being good at a competitive thing.
wouldnt know I horrible at crucible.
Not that I go around sending negative reports all the time (actually don't really send reports period), but it never really occurred to me that one could send a "positive" report. Reporting has always carried this negative stigma, and so I never even thought to try it. Thanks for pointing that out. Definitely do that more often now :) Ps I'm sure you're a great player who doesn't cheat the system. Can only hope to be good enough to do double carries. Keep up the good work my man!
