So I got reported today in trials...
I was doing a double carry like I usually do in the weekends, I saw we matched against some guys (never played against them before) and while we were flying in one of them sent me a message "nice lag switch" We were all green barring at that moment and the whole game, no lag at all.
After we won them 5-0 one of them sent me a message "reported"
After last weekend my reputation on XB1 lowered after double trials carries, even though I did not teabag, I did not send them any messages, only played the game like how it's supposed to.
Couple of people on my friendlist who all are highly skilled have also gotten their reputation to go down, just because people get salty after they lose and report them.
Always blaming the other team for "cheating" or "lagswitching" most people dont even know what lag switch is...
This really isnt problem until your rep goes down to a "avoid this player" it makes impossible to find a game in crucible, I saw this happen to two of my french friends on XB1 and well they both mainly play pvp so it sucked for them not being able to play it for a while (there's a way to get past that luckily)
But yeah don't be a dick and report every good player that dominates you. Also got a message from enforcement.xbox.com that said I have been reported so many times my gamertag got investigated but since I had done nothing wrong they did not take any action ♡ (though my rep went down from all the negative feedback)
Has anyone here ever reported anyone for being highly skilled? (Positive reporting)
Edit: if someone is really good and nice to you remember to report them for being friendly or highly skilled, it appears that they get gifts and stuff from postmaster if they get enough positive feedback :)

I've been lenient with reporting lately as I have seen more and more that the game 'cheats' for you sometimes. I know I've tanked killing blows before and felt bad about it. I report 'Cheating' and 'Bad Connection' together for the obvious ones, though. When someone's a lag-teleporting god from the front, but mortal when attacked from out of their field of vision. Or when you can't land direct shots, but shooting rockets at their feet or kiting them into exploding crates works, I report the shit out of those bastards. However! I always try to make an effort to send positive reports where due as well. When someone is the literal only reason we didn't die miserably in a match, I report them as they ought to be. When I watch a two-Guardian pair hold a room ruthlessly against my best efforts and those of my team, I give them the recognition they've earned. Thanks for reminding me of this, though. It's easy to forget to send out those positive ones, especially when they kicked your ass. It's so rare to just straight-up lose to a better team anymore; there's always that red-bar god or what have you that ruins it one way or another it seems.

Did you happen to check which region the people you where playing against where in? Or just deduce that your connection is good and thus must be good on the receiving end to anyone else on the planet? Just something to think about. I've had people from the UK tell me i lag for them and it must be my connection but i run 100 MB up and down with almost 0 jitter and a ping of 12 so mathematically that is just false. Its pier to pier for a reason, it means something, wavelengths have physics to them.....

When I encounter folks who are highly skilled/friendly/helpful I make it a point to report. This last weekend I did report several red-bars...people who had a bad connection throughout several games in IB. Best I can do is leave matchmaking and start again.

Destinys networking system working against anyone with meh Internet has been the cause of countless hate messages, I don't take it to heart, I know I've done nothing wrong myself and it's my ISP (who argues me when I call complaining that speeds on my whole street are garbage and I have gone door to door asking [i live in an area where there isn't many options]) but still apparently I'm a cheater lol. But back in mw3 I used to quick scope on my old account before it bugged out and I'm not trying to brag but I was genuinely god like, I always got messages claiming I'm a cheating -blam!-, well no I was in high school and gave no shit about my grades so I played for like 7-8 hours a day xD. With the Internet having no punishment for sending hate all you can really do is make the best out of a bad situation and my version has always been to -blam!- with them xD
