I run 35 Mbps and am constantly getting this "contacting destiny servers" garbage!! What's going on??

Well "contacting destiny servers" is back. Just received it flashing on my screen for a good 5 min. Doesn't go away, ammo and engrams didn't drop until a minute later; a bunch of ammo dropped, two engrams, and one agonarch rune all at once for me. It was raining lag all over the place.

This crap is happening again (13:00 MST July 1, 2016) . I just got 5 minutes of "Contacting Destiny Servers", before just giving up on Xbox One. Was on the dreadnaught, killed the Ultra knight, tried to turn in some Bounties and it was taking 10 seconds after I turned in a bounty of please wait circles, then more contacting Destiny Servers. Went to orbit, tried to go to Venus and it continually said Contacting Destiny servers. Done with this crap hole game for today. Please feed the hamster that runs in the wheel that powers your single Commodore 64 Server "farm" with 150 baud modem located in Antarctica, because it's more under powered and broken than "BungiVision Normal".

I run 100 mbps and I'm still getting it. I haven't gone 15 min w/out being yanked out of wherever. Bungie: you said to keep you posted. It's Fri. and....IT'S STILL HAPPENING !

I'm not happy. Keep getting kicked from Iron Banner. We were fine earlier today but haven't been able to get into a game for a hour now. It's ridiculous . Constantly contacting Destiny servers.

Logged into Xbox Live after seeing this jus' to post it seems bungie doesn't give a rat's @$$ about the legacy players anymore, seeing as Lords of iron was announced not that long ago and I have been playing on a "Legacy Console", for years, and haven't had issues with servers before on any other game, until I've hit Destiny. Now that their new DLC money maker is coming out, it seems they've pulled the budget hard core on Destiny Legacy Console servers and reallocated them to Xbox One servers. I mean logically that makes sense. can't even do King's fall without losing our team (or a good majority of it) this week because of error code baboon popping up. If you guys can't even maintain destiny legacy consoles' servers, how the **** are people supposed to believe you can even maintain an xbox one server? I was considering moving onto an xbox one to stay playing with my friends, but at this point, I'm honestly not sure I want to put the time into this game when I'm worried praying to God, I don't get kicked off in the middle of an oryx encounter or in the middle of an elimination match!

I've played this game for almost two years, never had connection issues. Now I'm getting this message constantly and I'm always red bar, IB is unplayable. Really disappointed.

You are Lucky you can get in. I have been trying since the "fix" and I can't get beyond orbit before getting kicked out. I complete rebooted my network which usually makes things run better. Now I can't even play Destiny

I get that all the time last update I ended up getting " contacting servers" or error codes constantly for 2 weeks barely could play, it's sad u pay for a 70 game n you cant play it n yes my Internet is good so no need for all of it hope they fix the problem or there going to lose alot of customers just thought

I can play Division perfectly l, I can play halo perfectly, I can play heck whatever any other game etc. But OH BOY!! when I play Destiny and for some dumb reason I'm getting weasel and baboon and whatever other filthy animal they have, it's just so dam infuriating
