Going from Shotguns to Snipers
So, after spending my entire Destiny career shotgunning, I have always thought that sniping in Destiny was a bit too easy and didn't carry nearly as much risk as it does in other games.
Yesterday, I realized that I had collected every gear set I had wanted in the game as well as every exotic available(class items and all) and I was getting bored. A friend of mine who plays ToO very often and snipes exclusively told me that sniping takes a lot of skill and that I should see if I was any good.
So I played 4 games in control and this is what I got:
First game was a bit rough. Lost the game by 3k with a 1.12 k/d.
Second game was a Win with a 2.25 k/d
Third Game was a Win with a 3.12 k/d
Fourth Game was a Win with a 2.5 k/d
By the Second game I was scoring double kills with the sniper. 10 of my 18 kills were sniper kills. [b]So am I just naturally good with snipers or are they just that easy to use?[/b] All I know is, I'm gonna be sniping from now on.

1 답변I looked at your KD and it's pretty good. Most people I check is roughly 1.0 to 1.5. Don't bother looking at mine it's horrible, I am trying to get better. To me and this is my opinion you are already a pretty good player. So naturally you know how to move, aim, use your surroundings and so on and so forth. So naturally I would think you would be able to pick up any weapon and do well in. So with that being said I think it takes skill do well with any gun. I think you have put enough practice into the game you can do that. But me on on the other.... Eh.. Lol Anyway awesome job maybe one of these years before destiny retires I can be that good.

5 답변Snipers ARE way too easy to use, well at least some of them. Any sniper that you can drag-shot with effectively is way too easy to use, because that style literally aims for you; you just have to be at head level. Efrideet's Spear, No Land Beyond, and Queenbreaker's Bow are some examples of snipers that ACTUALLY require a modicum of skill to use.

4 답변You could use a sword hilt and go positive in pubs. Try sniping in sweats against players who don't stand still in the middle of obvious sniper lanes, then check back with me.

7 답변Same for me. I like to run UR and thousand yard now. But i always miss real shotguns and playing walls.

25 답변You have almost the same amount of kills with your sniper as you do with shotguns, unless you got a couple of thousand kills in 4 games, I don't think you've been shotgunning for the most of your game time.

1 답변I think the reason I can't run snipers as effectively is my reaction time. I don't have that trigger second reaction time the good snipers have so I'm usually out sniped. But I can usually line up a shot quite well.
