It's got all the same details. High damage. Check. Arc damage. Check. Melee. Check. Regens health with the perk active. Check.
So why not? Now, I know some people will be like "if it doesn't hit then it's wasted". Well who cares?! Not me. Especially since when you throw and throwing knife and it doesn't hit it's wasted. When you throw smoke and it doesn't hit, it's wasted. When you throw a grenade and it doesn't hit, it's wasted. So why should shoulder charge be any different. "You need to run so it's easily counterble". No. That's like saying "smoke bombs, throwing knives and grenades have velocity so we can all dodge them very easily". Doesn't stack up. At all. "But it's our special ability". And so what? Shadestep was hunters special ability and it added on to us being the agile class. Well it was nerfed. And shoulder charge adds on to you guys being the tanky, in-their-face class. So it's only fair.
Now, there's one argument what comes to mind. Khepri's sting. But that's much more of a headache so it's not worth complaining about. But for those who don't know.
Firstly, you need to go invisible which involves using your melee charge with "vanish in smoke" active, using P&T or crouching for a few seconds. Then, you need to get behind the target in order for it to work. Then, you have to successfully stab them. If they turn around then it's out. Done. Plus, they need exotics. So this is much more of an argument than what shoulder charge has. Firstly, run. Then melee. No exotic needed. No comparison.
You see? Plus, a non-charged attack/gun has no business dealing any damage what isn't kinetic so let the charge worry about that. And it takes the exact same buff. Not sure what it's called but it's the one where health regens with every shoulder charge/charged melee kill so there's more fuel here.
All this adds up and is completely fair in my eyes. Not sure about you but I think I've covered everything. So, either bungie remove the Arc part, take off the bonus damage and reduce the range, but add knockback or they make it consume the melee charge, I think there's an issue and I've found out the perfect way to fix it.
And I'll be looking for logical arguments in the comments. Any just pure hate, is unwanted and only shows your lack of integrity, intelligence and understanding.
TL;DR- They should make shoulder charge take the melee charge or nerf it as it's completely unfair and unbalanced. Anyone wants to argue should sound smart and not ramble on.
As a Warlock, a think shoulder charge is fine the way it is. Yea it p!ssess me off in crucible, but when I play as a Titan I totally get it. When I play as a Titan or Hunter I can see why some ppl complain about Warlocks, each class and subclass are fairly well balanced though, some seem op, some seem underwhelming. It's really about You, your Class and your Subclass. Some things are just out of your hands and you're screwed or lucky.
