I've just spent the last 7 hours of gameplay on...
...farming the required planetary materials & ability kills for all 3 exotic sword quests...I can't recall any other grind being worse than this!
[b]Helium farming = completed in approx. 1 hour
Solar ability kills = completed in approx. 1 hour
Spinmetal farming = completed in approx. 1 hour 15 min
Arc ability kills = completed in approx. 45 min (Stormcaller wrecks!)
Relic Iron farming = completed in approx. 2 hours
Void ability kills = completed in approx. 1 hour[/b]
[i]EDIT 1: For all the replies from the Y1 veterans:
1.) Material farming was much quicker in Y1.
2.) Thorn bounty was also not that hard to do.
3.) The worst grind in Y1 was when we were forced to re-upgrade all our exotics during TDB when exotic shards was introduced...that was just stupid!
EDIT 2: I used the corresponding Ghost shells for materials farming along with the "Relentless Tracker" perk on my Imago Loop which has the same tracking as "Keen Scout" [/i]

1 답변Agree, the grind was the most horrendous thing in the game ever. But the swords make everything easy mode for many activities.

3 답변Best way to get the ability kills is to go into any mayhem game mode. I completed mine in two games of mayhem clash

Year Wunner here. Yeah it sucked. But it wasn't all that bad. Get some ability kills while getting materials. And when I got the materials, but didn't have the kills. Siege of the Warmind. Easiest ability kills ever. Golden gun. 1 Thrall becomes 5. 20 kills, a nade, and infiniknives later. arc? Spam showstopper, and encore. Void? Obsidian mind is great. Blood bound too.

I've done 2 swords so far [solar and arc] and it took me about 45 min for the materials and ability kills Just equip a ghost with that material, pick ONE spot and just run around in a circle. The materials respawn after a few min. While younrunkin n circles melee and throw grenades at stuff. Both my swords I broken up over 3 days, spending 15 min each day (got 3, 3 and 4)

3 답변Use your hunter with Keen Scout or Stillpiercer. You'll find that stuff on patrol without even trying. You could also use a ghost that detects them. If you use the perk that gives materials for finding engrams along with those hunter perks, you'll collect everything you need in a small fraction of the time. You could likely do it by just running through the patrol area one time.

5 답변You've clearly never played y1 How many hours I spent running in circles for relic iron, I do not know. But it's a lot.

1 답변I did them all at different times but my first one was void on a Titan. When I realized the ability kills were needed it was already too late. Took me a good 3 hours for ability kills and 2 hours for farming.

1 답변Should've done your ability kills through Siege of the Warmind. Gets those done in less than 20 minutes, albeit I had the stupid decision to put the void sword on my Titan.
