Don't play the Heroic Strike playlist if you know you're going to barely play!!
You're the member of the fireteam that nobody wants. I swear, I can't even fathom as to WHY somebody would purposely start a Heroic strike and yet, they act like jerks and don't do anything except hang in the back of the area without providing any assistance whatsoever. (Basically going AFK "on purpose" every 2 minutes or not reviving a teammate for helping you.)
Save your slot for somebody who actually gives a sh*t about teamwork. Your phone or whatever the hell is stopping you from playing, should have been done BEFORE you start playing Destiny. If you are AWARE that you are about to embark into a Heroic strike or anything for that reason, then you should understand why it is so damn infuriating to be teamed up with a pair of morons that won't even contribute a single kill to the activity, leading to a 1 HOUR OR LONGER activity...
Yes, I'm mad. I am salty. But I'm sure some of you can relate.
And I'm all for priorities first. That's fine, but if you know you need to get your priorities finished first, then you shouldn't be on Destiny in the first place. You'll only hinder those whom had to be teamed up with you and further elongate what we're doing.
[spoiler]Edit: As far as children go, if you have a child in need of assistance, then yes, go help your child in need. Please do not confuse a situation such as that with what I have depicted about thus far.
This post is mainly pointed towards those whom purposely go AFK from the start and/or reap the rewards without putting forth any effort to help your fireteam destroy a boss in any activity except maybe shooting the boss a couple times per minute to ensure that they get the loot, which is just downright frustrating for the others. [/spoiler]
I don't need to be carried, but I do need to have a fireteam. I'm a team player and I put my teammates first before anything else when it comes to Heroic strikes.
Edit: Yes, I COULD solo the strike, or we as a team, can blow through like 5 or more in less than an hour. As for the solo players, feel free to solo the Strikes by yourself and be stubborn, but always know that I'm right next to you whether you like it or not. Because I will not be one of "those" players that decides to be a first class scumbag that only progresses through Destiny by mooching off of others. Be a respectful player.
Think about that by the next time you look at your characters and realize that you're "one of those players"...^^^
Simply stated, the point to all of this was to further discuss the problem that is taking advantage of those who want to contribute to your fireteam in a positive way.
If somebody is trying their best to further support you, regardless of whether you are a solo player or not, you should consider helping them. For example: If somebody were to die, the solo player/purposely AFK player will not take any regard to revive them. Especially if they're new players. I'm not like that and yet, I see that thing happen all of the time. You're basically giving the new Guardians a reason to believe that every player in Destiny who is at a considerably high level, to be like that. That doesn't reflect very well on the community and it certainly shows that you don't care about anybody else except for yourself...
Personally, I want to see those who are new to Destiny or those who seek excitement in Destiny, to be able to have the best experience that they can possibly receive. I just don't understand the mentality of wanting to disregard your fellow teammates.

I got matched up with that guy in P.O.E. yesterday. That's frustrating too. He sat in the airlock. When the game spawned him in, he stood there and died. He finally got one kill, but ran around and refused to revive either one of the other players he was with. Dick move.

If it does happen exactly as you describe it and you spend over an hour with two people who "won't even contribute a single kill", then you are just dumb and get what you deserve IMO! Some facts to counter your exaggerations: 1) You have run a total of 33 heroic strikes lifetime across all characters according to D-Tracker. 2) Your lifetime [b]average strike completion time [/b]is 27 min/strike. 3) You Did Not Finish (DNF) 40% of your most recent 20-something strikes. So you are someone who very often leaves matches, which is worse than someone needing to take a call or use the bathroom. As someone who has completed three times the number of heroic strikes that you have, I can honestly say that I have never had two teammates for an entire match that combined made zero kills, if they are AFK they will be booted and replaced, but you infer that this is a common occurrence. Try sticking to the facts when making a point! If you have to resort to such gross exaggerations, then perhaps your point is without merit!

1 답변Idk if it works this well or not but if im in the middle of a strike and something comes up then I try to wave at my teammates alot then stand in a corner. Sorta like afk brb.

1 답변I had a friend who did an entire strike and he purposely shot his gun wildly and didn't kill a single enemy. He was right with the other two guys the whole time. They could hear him shooting. At the end he had zero kills. That would be hilarious if you were one of the other guys!! I get your point, it's annoying, but sadly that is destiny, maybe A reflection on an entire generation perhaps. It's sad really sad.

I agree for the most part. But there have been times when I have a full vanguard rep going with a booster, and after 5 or 6 strikes I need to take a piss and get a drink. That's like 3 minutes that I will be AFK. Real life happens in the middle of a strike bro. Kids spill drinks or get hungry, you have to open the back door for a dog to enter/exit, any number of things. Its different when the same dude is AFK strike after strike. You also seem to confuse heroic strikes with end game activities for some reason. Only raids/crucible should require the type of attention you are demanding from people. Not a match made strike fire team.

That's no better or worse then people who play but are terrible! I did one strike where I had to revive BOTH team members 5 times. How can you be that bad at the same missions you've been running for months now (they were both over 300 light). Random MM is a RNG bag of crap most of the time, but there are times where you get paired with people who are actually good at the game which is nice!

1 답변This is why I want SBMM in PvE. The problems with SBMM in PvP simply aren't an issue in PvE. In PvP SBMM prevents the skilled players from curb stomping the n00bs. But in PvE it'd keep the skilled players, playing together and allow the newbies to learn at their own pace. Without SBMM we get one player that has to be like Atlas walking through strikes with a fireteam on his shoulders. It'd also enable Matchmaking for raids...consider instead of AUTO matchmaking, the raid leader chooses from a list of similarly skilled players that are looking to raid, from which to contact. With, SBMM in place a system to populate that list, will exist.

I am with you, for the most part. It can be very annoying. But there are times when I have a streak going or a two booster active and I don't want to go to orbit, but I have to take a dump or my wife needs me to do something or my son wakes up crying or whatever and I go afk. People do have lives, dude. It's a game that can't be paused, and sometimes life pulls you from in front of the tv screen. It's not that big a deal. They're heroic strikes, not a raid or a nightfall. Relax. -

THANK YOU. This honestly seems a bit more prevalent on Playstation than Xbox, but the fact that it happens at all is obnoxious. I’m all for an inactivity boot. 2 Minutes might be drastic, but surely 4 to 5 minutes is reasonable. Can you solo these strikes, sure. Can you solo PoE 41? Sure. But in doing 3 new characters on playstation I got stuck with these same kind of people who just lounge at the back of the map. A third person is all the difference between killing the psions in 3 seconds, or 4 minutes. A 3rd person is all the difference in killing Omnigul twice, or just once for that possibility at our 2nd god roll Grasp of Malok. It’s all the difference in getting those pesky AI off my back in Shield Brothers, or surviving those tense moments on the S.A.B.R.E. strike. In Prison of Elders its all the world in those last few seconds of destroying/ disabling the mines and even in killing the target. Unfortunately, reporting a player doesn’t seem to be yielding results, so we need a backup now. Or just have some common sense, if something comes up, go to orbit.

9 답변Should have a "joining allies" as soon as you enter the darkness zone, as per boss. If you get portal'ed in to darkness zone, when timer ends for boss fight you are sent to orbit, meaning you miss the rewards. Maybe even make them for each step along the way and have a 3 strikes and out scenario. Flip side, if you are a speed runner, especially on strikes with elemental burns on, and you set off the enemies before others are there... don't expect too many revies when you die a little further on. Only speed run if you can hold your own. If you get carried through a strike (not AFK, just not quite good enough / right level), feel free to send a msg of thanks... had to full on carry someone through the Sleeper strike. Literally saw his bullets miss targets by 45 degree or more. Player 2 and myself end with 140+ kills each, he ended with 38 and 20ish assists (so he wasn't even shooting anything). End of strike I sent a "you're welcome" msg, and got nothing back. Just be gracious for the 1hr I've just put in for you.

2 답변I have a wonderful woman and 2 daughters. I may have time to play, but that doesnt mean i wont have to stop from time to time to tell my daughter "yes your makeup is so pretty" and then get on to the older one and tell her to help wash it off. That said, Im a team player. Ill do my absolute best to make sure you are revived in a timely manner and that im not so far behind that im not even in the fight.
