What made Halo so great? Destiny is great, but an M rating would make it so much better. It would give the developers and story writers more creative licence. Levels with darker themes would create a powerful contrast between "the darkness" vs "the light". Correct me if I am wrong.
Edit: Ok, if you think that an "M" rating automatically implies gratuitous sex and violence, please dont speak because you dont know what you are talking about. "M" simply means that a game's creators have an extended range of creative potential when choosing content. It means the game can have a level of psychological maturity otherwise closed off to something trying to fit within a "T" content range. Stop being plebs and assuming that anything "adult" must necessarily be filled with sex and violence.

7 답변The game devs don't choose to make a game rated M, They make the game and the ESRB gives a rating.

1 답변Don't see myself buying it, (Unless my budds convince me....again) as I'm done with this game, franchise and both companies but if it helps.... Signed.

5 답변작성자: Toast Muncher 6/24/2016 11:37:24 AMCan we stop with these please, a game doesn't need an M rating so developers can have "more creative license". From a business point of view this is a step backwards.

Yes exactly. The childish parts in this game need to be cut out. If the game was say 18+ not only would it be more interesting but the actual scenes and gameplay would be more graphic. I love destiny but it needs a lot of improvements.

1 답변Honesty, the Halo games by Bungie were very tame "M" ratings for the most part. And truthfully they could've passed as a "T" rated games if it wasn't for being able to stand there shooting the same enemy watching blood fly up over and over.

1 답변The Teen rating hurt the game alot, and limited the scope of cut scenes, and the game itself.

3 답변Eh.......eh....halo was rated M but hardly even seemed like it deserved the rating. Guess have dead bodies come to life and a few swear words here and there warranted the rating. But M rating isn't need for a good story experience.....look at uncharted 4 :D

5 답변Never understand these ratings. There's a morality problem here and most video games: mass murder of alien races is fine for pre-teens but a nice booty is taboo...I suggest we get everyone round the table and talk about it. 'Interseting point Mr T'Arse... What do you think about Mr T'Arse's position Sepiks? ' 'Click....whirrrr....more tits please!' Actually, I think it would be quite interesting for Destiny 2 if Guardians had a bit of voice, which we don't currently have. We kind of are well-dressed zombies of death. It would be cool to have a Guardian actually question his/her motivations at some point. I feel, and at the risk of a flurry of hate, that this is particularly relevant for the Warlock and Hunter classes; the Titans always seemed to me to recruited from the ranks of Guardians with fewer life choices...

Please make it rated M, the whole T thing is bullshit. Its not like if it's rated M parents won't buy it for their whiny ass kids anyway. It doesn't mean bring sex into the game, people just don't grasp the concept of game ratings.

9 답변I understand where you're coming from. But can you please name one game that got its M rating for something other than gratuitous violence and/or sexual content? Because I cannot, for the life of me, think of any. I can, however, think of games rated T with mature tones. Uncharted 4 leaps to mind. Portions of the grimoire also have these tones. I feel simply putting the grimoire in-game (as in actual in-game story telling, not just being able to read the cards) would do just as much, if not more than bumping up the rating.

1 답변i totally agree with this. although im pretty sure its too late to make that big of a change to it. they already finished creating the story, lore etc to fit the current rating, so if it suddenly changed at the last minute, that would mean they would have to scrap everything and start all over again. if anything, petition to make destiny 2 rated m, and have a more mature, dark theme with less limitations. some sexy women wouldn't hurt either. after all, sex sells. learn from blizzard. i have played wow since vanilla, and i loved the game. now i hate it. its way to child friendly, everything is easy af, and they pretty much hold your hand through the whole process. its obvious game developers are making games have lower ratings so they appeal to a larger audience. lol thats what blizzard did with world of warcraft, and they lost pretty much all there fans doing it. they are so desperate for more players, they released a movie and gave out free game copies, and added a bunch of incentives if you recruit people and get them to start a monthly subscription. doom on the other hand, its gory af. im not saying make destiny2 gory or anything, im just saying the rating allowed doom to add stuff to the game to help give it depth and strengthen its theme. dont get me wrong, in a time of COD clone FPS games, destiny is real original, and still is. but having an M rating would open alot more doors and allow for a broader story line, theme and so much more.

-
uhm... i think they should first fix the servers, the levling and grinding and make exotics feel exotic... changing the game to M would change pretty much nothing. or do a couple of blood splatters rly make the difference for you? besides, there are already a lot of dark maps. and im pretty sick and tired of them^^'' games like fire emblem, zelda or some tales of games all have a great story too but they arent rated M either. its more like bungie simply -blam!-ed up with the story. i cant see any kind of improvement from an M rating. the division is rated M too but its story is even worse than destiny. and i highly doubt the M rating made halo great, youre probably talking about mortal kombat. what made halo great were the old devs. as far as i know, many original bungie devs arent even working for bungie anymore.
