Just beat the first Dark Souls
So I just beat the first Dark Souls and it was an absolutely amazing game. I did think that the final boss fight was a little underwhelming, though. What are everyone else's thoughts that have fought their way through to the end?

1 답변I loved the game, but after discovering that poise made it so easy to just tank every late-game boss it lost a lot of the challenge.

7 답변I quit playing after I lost the first bonfire, cleared new Londo to cure my curse, succeeded, and was cursed again heading to the gaping dragon. it's not even "hard" it's just a frivolous waste of time because now I have no bonfire between blight town(cleared besides chaos witch) and the gaping dragon until I get passed those curse guys. It's a long, boring, annoying sprint through the areas that I've already proven to be able to clear (I fought the dragon the first time already), and then it just turned into a game trying to waste as much of my time as possible by removing a bonfire from me that would make such a ridiculously long run half as long, and then making me go remove my curse again, or be bored out of my skull farming souls to buy the item to remove it. I figured out the game was more tedious than anything at that point.

2 답변It is absolutely one of my favorite games of all time. From Software is incredibly good at telling story through level design and environmental cues. Everything from treasure arrangements, to enemy placements, to the way they frame later destinations in the skyboxes tell story beats and add to the experience. I'm glad to see they're working on several new titles. I suggest you check out their other works. Dark Souls 3 was a fantastic culmination to the franchise and even Demon's Soul holds up incredibly well if you have access to it.

7 답변I've never played it. Is it harder than ds3? I just started ds3 and it's hard for me since I've never played dark souls

6 답변Haven't gotten very far with it. Last I've done is failed time after time against the Bell Gargoyles. I once managed to take down one, and then the other just set the whole rooftop on fire and I had absolutely nowhere to go but just stand there and die. That seemed fair.

1 답변Gwyn is supposed to be weak, he's a hollow version of the Lord of Sunlight, he's basically just fuel for the First Flame and he's been there for a long time. It's kind of depressing, but that's Dark Souls for you.

1 답변Was better than ds2. Not that I disliked ds2, just liked ds1 more. Ds3 I like almost as much as 1. Something about one... It could be that it was the first souls game I played and it was unrelentingly brutal early on. Until I found out how to rush the gravelord sword... I miss that covenant...

4 답변Don't tell anyone, but.. [spoiler]I me er actually beat Dark Souls I..[/spoiler] I got all the way to Gwyn, then had to leave for a few weeks. By the time I tried again, I was a little too rusty to beat him.. Oh, but amazing game, surely!

1 답변They made Gwyn weak on purpose. He is weakend from keeping the fire going an empty shell of what he once was. Basicly you've beaten the game once you reach the Kiln. [spoiler]Play it again, only try killing the 4 Kings before you gave the Lordvessel to Kingseeker Frampt[/spoiler]
