My view on K/D
I believe K/D doesn't matter. Not because my K/D is low, but because Destiny is a VIDEO GAME that was intended to be for ENTERTAINMENT. But so many people take it so seriously. Here's an idea. Remove public view of K/D. I bet you no one would ever use that as an excuse anymore. Let's make K/D pointless. Hell, I know I suck at PvP, but I don't have time to get better cause I have a life. I have a job and a family to take care of, so my K/D on a video game isn't my main priority. K/D means so little to me that I usually don't take anything in the crucible seriously. I just play crucible for a change of pace. Low K/D, high K/D. Good job now go get some sunlight, your looking pretty pale.
Edit: since people seem to think that I posted this because I was upset about someone judging my K/D, I'll clarify. It's a number, that's all. And that number will determine my "skill" or lack there of. However, if I'm just messing around and doing stupid stuff for my own enjoyment, that number determines what? I also already said I suck at PvP. But that's okay. It doesn't bother me.

15 답변Your reasoning has nothing to do with the game though. With that logic, let's hide every stat because destiny is just a game and doesn't impact your real life. This just reminds me of the stereotypical "everyone better than me has no life and everyone worse than me is a noob". I agree that K/D doesn't impact your life and what not, but within the realm on the game, it's arguably the most defining stat there is.

13 답변People saying kd doesn't matter in any situation are kids who are just bad at pvp and then try using the "get a life" argument because they can't defend how they truly suck. You say kd doesn't matter, but id rather have a person over a 1kd on my team for trials than a .7 kd .

K/D [b]does[/b] matter..... it is the easiest stat to check to see if someone is a decent player. There is alot of other factors aswell but this if I was checking one stat to see if a player is good it will be K/D. A positive K/D shows me you can kill more than you die. So I would want someone on my team with a positive K/D rather than a negative one. Pretty simple... right?

But so many people take it so seriously.[/quote] You're right, its a video game but people dont go around saying "oh man you must suck at life and have a shit job because you have a low K/D" people use K/D to see if you are good at this game, people use K/D to see if they want to play with you, people use K/D to see if you have any valid input on weapons being OP or not. K/D is an almost Perfect way to see how someone plays the game and if they are any good. Ive heard every excuse under the sun from people who have a bad K/D trying to tell me they are good players and im not buying any of it lol. If you're bad AT THIS GAME then you are bad at this game... get over it and move on.

If you can do well= high K/D [spoiler]most of the time. I can understand people who can be good but f*ck around here and there in the Crucible. Don't want to generalize everyone.[/spoiler] If you CAN'T do well= low K/D

Yep my kd is low to but I have scarab you think you have it bad. I get the most hate mail because of my kd, it is not at scarab level. :/ Blame year 2 players lusting over the lighthouse, that is why it is so bad on destiny right now.
